No School 4/2 - 4/6! Early Dismissal 4/10 @ 11:00!
New Attendance Reporting Procedures Now in Effect
Methacton School District has updated its attendance reporting procedures. If your child will be absent, arriving late, or leaving early from school, you must report this to the school in one of two ways:
Using the new attendance reporting feature in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. This fulfills the written note requirement and provides direct notification to the school. Click here for step-by-step instructions.
Calling the school attendance office. Absences reported by phone will be marked unexcused unless a signed physical note is submitted to the school’s main office within three days.
It's important that parents/guardians review all of the new attendance reporting procedures at www.Methacton.org/attendance
Update on Food Services
Methacton High School will be back on the National School Lunch program starting April 1,2026. In short, there will be some changes in the menu options. The coffee bar will remain, it will just have sugar free options and smaller portion sizes. Cafeteria menu items may be slightly different as well. With the state guidelines, some menu items will limit white flour, have less salt, and less sugar.
This change allows us to take advantage of the "free breakfast for all" program while eliminating future budgetary transfer costs. This move saves the district money while providing a reasonably high-quality experience.
Fourth Marking Period Begins 4/6!
Report Cards
Report cards will go live on Power School Monday, April 20.
School Expectations
As the warm weather starts, it is important to review the school expectations with all students and families. Assistant principals will be sending students an email the week of April 6 reminding them of the importance of following all school expectations.
1. School starts at 7:35. Any student entering the building after 7:35 needs a late pass. After three tardy passes, students will receive a detention.
2. It is important for students to get to class on time.
2. Cell phones are not allowed to be used during instructional time. Students will receive a detention if they have their cell phones during a prohibited time.
3. All lateness and absences require a NOTE or a Power School submission. Phone calls do not count as excused.
4. Students are expected to show respectful behavior at all times.
PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING YOUR TIME FOR AN AMAZING NIGHT FOR STUDENTS!
Methacton Post Prom still has more than 170 volunteer slots open, and sign‑ups close on April 10th. This incredible, free, all‑night event keeps our teens safe on one of the biggest nights of their lives, but it can only happen when the whole community steps up!
You do not need to have a current junior or senior to volunteer. Post Prom has always been powered by parents, alumni families, neighbors, and friends who simply care. Helping now doesn’t just make this year possible, it ensures Post Prom can continue for future classes who will rely on it just as much as today’s students.
