Teachers at the Desks!
Here are some highlights from the Wellness Day teachers participated in for professional development. Nurse Anderson and Ms. Stratton both led sessions on health and wellness.
MAP TESTING IS UPON US!
Are you new to Missouri and unsure what M.A.P. Testing is? This is our standardized test that our state had adopted that we all take across all public schools in Missouri to continue our accreditation and accountability. These determine your child's ability to master the concepts taught in the tested areas of Reading, Writing, Math and Science.
Please make sure your child gets a good night's rest and is ready for school on time. We begin in the morning and all students must take the test as a state requirement. Late students might have to wait and take make-up tests. Those are not as fun! Kids then miss out on other classes & events going on during our testing weeks.
Your child's MAP test scores will be available in the fall. Scores fall in a range of categories including: below basic, basic, proficient and advanced.

Thank you Community Businesses & Volunteers!
This month we have had several businesses and volunteers help us with our learning experiences including field trips, special treats and sharing as guest speakers.
Axes Physical Therapy
Thank you for allowing us to visit with our Sports Medicine Class and allowing our students the opportunity to experience first hand the facilities and ask questions about the careers, occupations and duties of at a physical therapy site. We appreciate how patient, informative and helpful getting to see things first hand has been for our students interested in sports medicine.
Columbia Street Mercantile
Thank you for welcoming our 8th grade social studies classes as they explored the Trail of Tears site and Long Park in their history walk and providing great treats, as always- on one of our many trips downtown to visit your wonderful shop! We appreciate how giving and welcoming your business always is to our school.
St. Francois County Ambulance District
Thank you Dustin Tate and crew for being one of the very most entertaining and informative guest speakers we could ever ask for having to come visit and teach us CPR skills and more. Students and staff both have learned so much and been so engaged with all of the hands-on opportunities and great facts and practical skills you are able to share with us. We really appreciate you all volunteering your time to speak to our students.
