Message from the Principal
Dear Cougar Cub Families,
Welcome to a fantastic new school year! Our staff has been hard at work preparing classrooms and learning spaces, and we cannot wait to see our students back on campus on Wednesday, August 12.
Please take a moment to review the essential arrival details and schedules for the upcoming year:
Morning Arrival Routine
Drop-Off Window: 7:15 AM – 7:40 AM
New Bell Schedule: Our official start time has shifted 5 minutes earlier to 7:40 AM.
Student Options (7:15 AM – 7:25 AM): Students may head to the cafeteria for breakfast or socialize with friends in designated morning areas.
Classroom Entry: Teachers will bring students into their classrooms at 7:25 AM, with instruction starting promptly at 7:40 AM.
Campus Security: To ensure student safety and establish strong morning routines, parents will not walk students to their classrooms. Our staff will be positioned throughout the hallways to guide everyone safely to their doors.
Important Parking & Safety Reminder
Staff & Bus Loop Area: The parking lot across the street/bus loop is strictly reserved for staff parking and bus operations. This is not a parent drop-off area. Buses move through this loop frequently throughout the morning, so keeping this area clear of vehicle drop-offs is critical to keeping our students safe.
Pre-K & Kindergarten "Boo Hoo / Yahoo" Breakfast
When: 8:00 AM – 8:45 AM on the First Day of School
Details: Parents of our newest learners are invited to join us in the cafeteria for coffee and breakfast treats to celebrate (or shed a tear over) this exciting milestone. PK and Kindergarten students will remain in their classrooms during this time to begin their day with their teachers and peers.
Lunchroom Visitor Policy
Timeline: Parents of Kindergarten through 5th-grade students are welcome to join their child for lunch up to twice a week, starting after our first 5 full weeks of school.
Why the Wait? The beginning of the year is critical for establishing routines and building independence. For our younger learners in particular, mid-day parent visits can cause distress when it is time to say goodbye, leading to tears or difficulty focusing for the rest of the day. This grace period helps every child adjust smoothly.
Thank you for your partnership, trust, and support as we kick off a wonderful year together!
We Are FSHE. We Are Cougar Cubs on a Mission!
Warm regards,
Julissa Fisher

Cole Football Schedule
As you know, we support our Cole High School students. The football schedule has been added to our newsletter.
When attending the games, we ask that our elementary aged students remain with their parents. We want to ensure they are safe at all times. Running, throwing the football, or hiding under the bleachers are not allowed during the football games.
Our Cole Cougars will participate in the Peanut Butter Bowl which is a manner to "feed people through football." Our Cougar Cubs assist in collecting and donating jars of peanut butter. We begin collecting peanut butter during Meet the Teacher (August 11).
Cougar Cubs On a Mission
We had some fun learning this past week. Our staff members begin to prepare for the new school year, we met our new staff members, we had campus tours for our new families, we had a safety drill, and we had our Poppin' Into Pre-K,
