Holy Rosary
NEWSLETTER | TERM 4| WEEK 7| 28TH NOV 2025
Dear Jesus,
We ask for your blessing on our school community
Encircle us with your love and care
Let our love for others guide our thoughts and actions
Help Holy Rosary to be a place of sound learning and new discoveries
Grant that those who belong, those who teach and those who learn will,
like St Dominic, find you to be a source of truth to be shared with all those we meet.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord
Amen
Dear Parents, Friends, Staff and Guardians,
Last Sunday, we celebrated a truly beautiful ceremony as the Dominican Friars officially handed over the parish to the Archdiocese. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our Dominican priests and sisters for their years of dedication and service to our community. At the same time, we warmly welcome Father Andrew Albis to Holy Rosary and look forward to his spiritual leadership in the years ahead.
We are grateful for the positive feedback received regarding the journey of our school. Your support and encouragement mean so much as we continue to grow together as a community.
Our Parents & Friends Association undertakes an incredible number of events that strengthen our school community. This week’s newsletter includes a survey link - please take a few moments to complete it and help guide their future initiatives.
As the upcoming social media ban approaches, we are committed to supporting families through this transition. In this newsletter, you’ll find helpful resources, and a QR code has also been sent home for easy access to additional guidance.
We understand the importance of giving parents more control over school devices at home. Over the coming weeks, we will be exploring applications that allow families to manage school iPads more effectively at home.
I warmly invite all parents to join us for our Annual Community Meeting:
Date: Tuesday 2nd December
Time: 5:00 PM
Location: School Library
Your presence is warmly welcomed.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership in making Holy Rosary a vibrant and caring community where every child is valued, known, and heard, empowering the to develop their God given strengths in doing good for their world and forming enduring friendships in their joy filled childhood.
Have a wonderful weekend.

A Beautiful Addition to Our Space
A stunning new addition to our undercover area! 🎨✨ Thank you to talented Indigenous artists JD Penangke and Kaiman for creating this incredible mural that reflects culture, connection, and community. Big thanks to Miss Kalani Bennell and Miss Alicia Matrenza for helping bring this vision to life! 🌿
Give Write donations
We welcome our school community to drop off any unwanted stationery or school supplies at reception. Give Write collects, refreshes, and redistributes surplus materials to students who need them - supporting learning while keeping usable items out of landfill. Every pencil, pen, and notebook truly counts!
Have spare pens, folders, or notebooks at home? Your donated items will be repurposed and passed on to students who can put them to good use. It’s an easy way to make a meaningful difference. Let’s clear out those drawers and pencil cases and help others get ready to learn!
Please refer to the photo below for guidance on what items can and cannot be donated.
Thank you!

STEM Sparks Creativity
What a day of engineering fun! 🎉 Some of our Year 4 and Year 5 students joined the Contraption Cup at Lake Joondalup Baptist College, creating amazing Rube Goldberg-style chain reaction machines. So much creativity and collaboration on display! 👏

“Sometimes the things you’ve lost can be found again in unexpected places.” A Series of Unfortunate Events #13: The End by Lemony Snicket
Next Thursday is Transition Day. Transition day plays a big part in the wellbeing of our students and is a wonderful opportunity to build resilience, be organised for 2026 and provide time to introduce new friends and develop different friendships.
Feelings of nervousness are normal and prepares children for learning to deal with change. Suggestions for preparing for transition day include starting to speak to your child in a positive way early to build excitement and comfortable feelings and give them a chance to ask any questions they have. It is ok to share that you may not know the answer, and to remind children that they are safe at school and there are many trusted adults they can speak to. The connections they have made with past teachers are a testament to this.
The Christmas holidays provide some time also to get to know new friends in their class and build excitement for what a new year brings. As always, we are here to support all children with their wellbeing so that they have success in their learning journeys. Please see the link below for more information on how to prepare for Transition Day.
The Year 6 Christian Service Group is currently collecting for the Vinnies Christmas Hampers. If you can support in any way, please see the poster below for donation ideas which can be placed in the tub in your child’s classroom or reception before Thursday 4th December, Week 8. Thank you to the Year 6 students for the posters they have made to raise awareness.
