🌴🌴GREAT JOB AT ARRIVAL TODAY!🌴🌴
The car line can be hectic, but a few things really help it run smoothly:
- Please pull as FAR up as you possibly can before letting your children out, this helps us get as many cars in and out at one time as possible
- Watch the adults for signals... if we hold up our hand for you to wait, that's probably because we are going to want you to scoot up in a minute. We so appreciate your patience!
- Adults or trained safety patrols will open the doors and assist your children out (and in) for safety reasons
- Thank you for driving slowly and attentively at the car line! It's not the time for distractions such as cell phones, because we have tiny children moving in many directions and that can be dangerous when cars are around.
⭐🌟HOW IS YOUR CHILD GOING HOME?🌟⭐
If you need to make a change to how your child planned to go home, you MUST be email it to TBEdismissal@collierschools.com and that must be received BEFORE 2:00 PM. This ensures that our office has enough time to communicate the message to your child and their teacher, with all of the other things going on at this busy time of day.
A driver's license/ FL IS of legal parent/ guardian/ or parent approved pick-up person MUST be provided. Please note, a cell phone photograph of an ID will not be accepted as ID.
☔🌺HOW DO WE KNOW IF IT'S RAINY DAY DISMISSAL? 🌺☔
We will notify you BY TEXT MESSAGE as SOON as we are aware, but please bear with us because sometimes the lightning alert system goes off 5 minutes before dismissal and we cannot help it. It's just as much an inconvenience for us, so just know what we understand, and we are working as quickly as possible to get your children to you safely and efficiently.
If your child is a walker/ biker, and you get the text message, you may want to come to pick them up rather than waiting for it to clear. Our office closes at 3:30 every day and sometimes they lightning continues for hours after that. Again, our goal is to get everyone home quickly and safely.
Thank you for your kindness and understanding in these situations that can be stressful for all, but mostly the children. The more they see that us adults are calm and in control, the safer they feel.
DONT FORGET - LANYARDS & IDs ARE MANDATORY!
🥰 Wear your ID, stay DETENTION FREE 🥰
FAILURE TO WEAR ID WILL RESULT IN PROGRESSION OF DISCIPLINE
Students on any and all CCPS campuses are required to wear their district-issued student ID badges at all times while on campus, even arrival and dismissal. We are providing you with a Tommie Barfield breakaway lanyard (NO personal lanyards will be allowed) and a student ID badge. Replacement badges will cost $2 and lanyards $3. Failure to wear can result in warning and parent phone call, and then lunch detention.
To help with this, have your child keep their ID badge in the same compartment of their backpack every night. As soon as they get home or in the car, they put it in that pocket- nowhere else. This will help ensure that they have it every single day.
