A FEW REMINDERS
- Library- We will go to library on TUESDAY this week because there is no school on Friday. Please return library book and check out a new book and get to participate in stations.
- Snack- Please remember to pack a small snack that can be eaten in 10 minutes. If you able to send in a box of snacks for other students, this would be greatly appreciated. Ideas are: box of goldfish, animal crackers, fruit snacks, cheeze-its, etc.
- Water- Students should bring a water bottle with a flip top lid to class. Other water bottles will not be allowed to be used in the classroom. There have been too many spills.
We are looking for business sponsors to help support Garden Ridge in it’s last year before retirement. If you are interested in donating or becoming a sponsor, please fill out this form (click the button below).
Please consider asking businesses you frequent or spend time at for after school activities. No amount is too small and EVERYTHING will help make our Legacy Celebration and end of year Carnival the best one yet!

LEARNING FOCUS
Student will begin to describe how factors or conditions can cause objects, organisms, and systems to either change or stay the same.
Students will also record observations of and describe basic life cycles of animals, including a bird, a mammal, and a fish; and start comparing ways that young animals resemble their parents.
Students will use measuring tools to measure the length of objects to reinforce the continuous nature of linear measurement. Students will tell time to the hour and half hour using analog and digital clocks.
Students will learn about needs and wants and the kind of work people do that helps them get what they need and want. They will be introduced to the concepts of goods, services, making choices, and the value of work.
