• Mellody Farm- Bright Lights, Big Fun: Join Sam the Eagle at Mellody Farm for Holiday Magic with a Modern Twist on Saturday, December 7 from 4:30 to 6:30PM

We held our annual 3rd Annual Thanksgiving Meal Distribution, providing 75 Thanksgiving meals to families in need. This wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of the United Methodist Church of Libertyville and Honey Do-Ers, LLC. For the past three years, they’ve been invaluable partners in supporting our families during the holiday season.

Hawthorn Holiday Drive- We are collecting new, unwrapped toys for our annual Hawthorn School District 73 Holiday Drive now through December 6! Drop off donations at the Hawthorn District Office (841 West End Ct, Vernon Hills) from 8 AM to 4 PM.

We’ve partnered with Snickelfritz Toys in Vernon Hills, you can shop local or online and support our drive! Check out our wish list for added convenience.

Prefer to shop online? We also have an Amazon Wish List, and items can be shipped directly to the District Office.

Join us for the Lions Club Annual Holiday Pancake Breakfast at Hawthorn School for Young Learners!

• A visit from the North Pole
• Snap some festive photos in our holiday-themed backdrops
• Delicious pancakes for all!

Bonus: The first 50 kids to register will receive a special goodie bag!

*Tickets can be purchased online or at the door*

Will be open to all our families on December 11 from 4-6 PM at Middle North School (201 Hawthorn Parkway). If you would like to donate, items can be dropped off at the District Office or Middle North School. Thank you for your support!

Volunteering at Hawthorn District 73 is a rewarding way to support learning, social development, and emotional growth. By helping in various activities like reading with students, assisting in PE classes, or joining field trips, you can build strong connections between home, school, and the community. Interested?
