ILEARN Summative Testing
As we approach our upcoming state summative assessments, I want to thank you for your continued support in helping our students do their best. This time of year is an important opportunity for students to demonstrate their growth and learning.
You can support your child’s success with a few simple strategies:
- Ensure they get a good night’s sleep each evening
- Provide a healthy breakfast each morning
- Encourage a positive mindset and remind them to take their time
- Make sure Chromebooks are fully charged each night
- Help them arrive to school on time and ready to focus
At school, we are reinforcing test-taking strategies such as reading directions carefully, checking work, and staying calm when faced with challenging questions. We are proud of the hard work our students have put in all year, and we are confident they are prepared. Thank you for partnering with us to support their success.

This year at UTSC we are holding a corporation wide art show that will showcase the creative talents of all students' art works, K-12. These artworks will be on display for the families and the community on Friday, April 10th, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Wheeler High School Cafeteria. Each one of our middle school students will have one piece displayed. It's a night to enjoy some food, crafts, and amazing art made by our talented students!
Important Information from our School Nurse
Union Township Middle School is proud to announce it will be working with Project Adam, a national organization named for a young student athlete who died from sudden cardiac arrest during a high school basketball game. Project Adam provides guidance and resources to assist us to develop a cardiac emergency response plan which will include drills for staff. After successfully completing a series of steps, we will be designated a “Heart Safe School”.
During this process we encourage EVERYONE to notice where the five AED’s in are located:
- Outside WHS Front Office
- In the field house/weight room
- Next to pool/concession stand
- Across from the Nurse Office
- UTMS Commons
Scan the code at each AED to get important information that could help save a life.

A special shoutout to Mrs. Parrish, our school librarian, who goes above and beyond every single day. Whether it’s helping students find the perfect book, supporting teachers with resources, or jumping in to lend a hand wherever needed, she truly does it all. Her flexibility, positivity, and willingness to help with any and every task make a lasting impact on our entire school. We are so grateful for her dedication and the many ways they help our school thrive!
