We want to thank our fabulous Mt. Horeb K5 PTO and all of our amazing ELC/PC families for their generous gifts and treats for Teacher/Staff Appreciation week. We are touched by the thoughtfulness and support.

With Sincere Thanks,

ELC/PC Staff

The PTO would like to thank the community for showing up for our teaching staff! The stuff the breakrooms was a HUGE hit! The staff loved the pretzels and beverage truck as well! It's because of YOU that we can fund these amazing things for our staff!

The K-5 PTO is having our Silent Auction during Family Reading Night on Tuesday, May 19th from 5:30-7:00 PM at the IC. We have lots of items up for bids, including A LOT of teacher gift of time events!

Tomorrow we will be holding our third and final fire evacuation practice of the year. These drills are an important part of keeping our students safe by helping them learn to exit the building quickly and calmly in case of an emergency.

Our teachers will prepare students in advance so they know what to expect. Thank you for continuing to reinforce that school is a safe place, and for encouraging your child to speak with a trusted adult if they ever have any questions or concerns.

We appreciate your partnership in helping us keep our school community safe!

Hello Second Grade Families!

Please read on to learn about your child's upcoming visit to the Intermediate Center:

On Monday, May 18th, the Intermediate Center is hosting a Third Grade Orientation for second-grade students during the school day. Your child's class will come over to the IC via bus to see what our school is all about. Students will visit with me in a mini-assembly, take a tour of the school, play a game, and have recess on our playground. We hope this answers many of their questions and wonders and gets them excited to join us next year.

We are sure parents and caregivers will have many questions and wonders as well, and we look forward to meeting with them during our back to school events in August and September. Stay tuned for more details.

We can't wait to meet your students next week!

As we wrap up the current school year and look ahead to warmer days, we have one small request for our youngest commuters.

To ensure a smooth transition for both summer programs and the upcoming fall term, please keep your student’s current bus badge attached to their backpack.

What You Need to Know:

  • Who this applies to: All students currently in 4K through 1st Grade.

  • The Plan: Students will continue to use their current badges for the 2026-2027 school year.

Summer School: If your child is attending summer sessions, they will need this badge to scan on and off the bus.
