Final senior transcripts have been sent to the designated college/university for all students who completed the senior survey. Transcripts have also been uploaded to NCAA and NAIA portals for all registered athletes.

If a senior did not complete the senior survey but needs a final transcript, they may request one using our Transcript Request Form on the MHS website.

GPA and Rank for students in the class of 2026 and 2027 has been updated and posted in Skyward. Rising seniors will use this updated GPA and rank when submitting college applications starting in July. Students whose rank falls in the top 10% of the class of 2026 will receive a Notification of Automatic College Admissions by July.

Parents please check your email from CADY. Our picture company has been sending emails to all Class of 2026 families with emails registered in Skyward.

Unlike underclassmen pictures, every senior has the opportunity to take a selection of senior photos. CADY offers a variety of sessions but all seniors must sign-up for a session to ensure your picture is included in the Yearbook and in the slideshow that is shown before graduation.

If you do not want to complete a full photoshoot with CADY, at the bottom of "Choose Sessions", there is a yearbook only session for $10. The $10 sitting fee is a fundraiser for the senior class and is used to help lower the cost for the senior trip, prom, etc.

Don't want to go to the CADY Studio, No worries! There will be 4 Senior Roadshows were the studio will come to MHS. You still must BOOK the session online. This is a great option if you only want the Standard ($59), Simple ($29) or Yearbook Only ($10) session.

ALL of our APA/AP English classes have a summer reading assignment. Please click the link below to access the MHS summer reading website for each grade level.

Please note that AP Seminar/English 2 APA combo class has a different assignment than just APA English 2.

ANYONE may do the extra credit summer reading assignment. If a student is in APA or AP and desires to complete it, it must be done in addition to their required summer reading assignment.

Dear Maverick Family,

We hope that you have had an awesome break, and are ready to come back for our Summer Conditioning Camp (SWAT). The camp starts on Monday, June 9th at 7:00 a.m. Registration will begin at 6:15 a.m. and will continue until 12:00 p.m.(PLEASE SEE SESSION TIMES). Registration/check in will be set up in the War Room at Manvel High School. Please park in the student parking lot (CLICK HERE FOR MAP) and enter by the football field/double doors to the athletic hallway. Our coaching staff will be there to direct and help as you walk in. Come early so that you won't miss out!

We have had a hiccup with Alvin ISD "My School Bucks" registering and submitting payment. Therefore, I am including a LINK to register to help expedite the registration process. Please have this completed and bring $120 (either cash or check - payable to Alvin ISD Athletics). PLEASE TAKE CARE OF THE PAYMENT THE 1ST DAY! We will write you a receipt.

On January 14, 2025, the Alvin ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2025-2026 Academic Calendar.

Important Dates for Students:

• Transition students (Pre-K, Kindergarten, 6th grade, and 9th grade) will return to school on Monday, August 11, with all other students starting on Tuesday, August 12.

Key Features of the Calendar:

• A Fall Break October 13 - 17, aligning with the Brazoria County Fair

• Spring Break occurring the 2nd week in March (March 9-13)

• The school year concluding before Memorial Day weekend

Graduation dates for each high school are as follows:

• Iowa Colony High School – May 19, 2026 at Freedom Field

• RISE Academy – May 20, 2026 at Alvin HS PAC

• Manvel High School – May 20, 2026 at Freedom Field

• Alvin High School – May 21, 2026 at Freedom Field

• Shadow Creek High School – May 22, 2026 at Freedom Field
