October 23, 2026

Dear Families,

Thank you to everyone who took the time to meet with our teachers this week. Your participation demonstrates the care and commitment you have to ensuring that our students benefit from many levels of support. The partnership between families and school staff plays an important role in helping every student feel supported and succeed.

As we look ahead to Halloween next week, students are welcome to wear costumes to school on Friday, October 30th. We want everyone to enjoy the celebration while maintaining a safe, respectful, and appropriate learning environment. Please remember that masks, weapons or replica weapons, and costumes that could be considered disrespectful or inappropriate are not permitted.

We appreciate your help in making Halloween a fun and positive experience for our entire school community.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Brenda Erhardt

PMHS Principal

MORNNIG STUDENT DROP OFF - IMPORTANT

Clothing Swap Success!

Such generosity in our school and community! Neighbors United Social Action Club held a clothing swap at PMHS last Saturday and what a success is was! Under the advisement of Mark Dziedziak, students collected clothes at all Pentucket schools and local libraries and businesses. Students gathered donations, sorted by category and size and opened up for business. Senior Henry Smith lead the way, along with Lukas Piracini, Donovan Yoder, Noah Mackenzie, Alina Bartolo, Colyn Obrien, Tyler Truong, Nate Stys, William Snyder, Brian Loewen, Eli Mondor, Liam Foley. I’m so proud of these young men for doing such good in our community.

Some Friendly Reminders from the Main Office

Below are procedures that were previously communicated in recent SMORE newsletters. We understand these procedures may sometimes be inconvenient, but they are put in place to help ensure the safety of our students and staff while minimizing disruptions to classroom instruction.

Forgotten Items: Except for medical reasons, forgotten items may not be dropped off during the school day. Please ensure students arrive at school prepared with all necessary items, including homework, school projects, laptops, sports equipment, lunches, and water bottles.

Valid ID Upon Entering the Building: All visitors, including those attending scheduled meetings, must present a valid photo ID upon entering the building. This is required for our visitor check-in process.

Dismissals: Please enter dismissal requests in Infinite Campus at least one day in advance whenever possible. Same-day requests disrupt the school day, but if necessary, please submit them as early as possible.

Your Child's Illness: If your child is sick and does not need a doctor’s visit, please contact the school nurse directly, as she is the only one who can determine whether the absence can be excused for medical reasons.

Tardiness and Detention: For every five accumulated tardies, students will be assigned a detention. Detention is held T,W, & Th. from 2:15–3:00 pm

Great FUN Job!

Looking for a job where no two days are exactly the same? Join Pentucket Middle-High School as a substitute teacher!

Our substitute teachers are essential members of the team. They keep learning moving, provide students with a positive and structured classroom experience, and help our school run smoothly when a teacher is absent. One day you might explore history, the next you could supervise a science activity—and by Friday, you may know more about middle-school slang than you ever expected!

Pay $140/day

The Health Office will be conducting the annual state-mandated vision, hearing, and BMI screenings for 7th and 10th grade students only. If your child does not pass the vision or hearing screenings, the school nurse will contact you to discuss referrals and next steps.

If you DO NOT want your child to participate in these screenings, please complete the opt-out form. Otherwise, your child will be screened as scheduled.

Community Service Opportunites Community Service Opportunites

1). The Hilldale Cemetery: Volunteers are needed to aid in the cleanup of the cemetery to ready it for the Wreaths Across America Program in December. The cleanup is medium to heavy work, clearing away summer growth so that the wreaths can be placed in December. If you are up for a challenge, love the outdoors, and exercise, this is your type of community service.

Your contact person is Tammy Dobrosielski, and she can be reached through email at tdobrosielski@prsd.org

Please consider volunteering for this worthy cause.

If you are interested in further information about the cemetery and its connection to Wreaths Across America, you can go to www.hilldalewreaths.com
