BIDDEFORD MIDDLE SCHOOL NEWSLETTER
February 11, 2026
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Happy Valentine's Day!
We have begun our second semester, and our students have started to acclimate to their new classes. The Infinite Campus Parent Portal remains open for all parents to monitor their child's academic progress in all classes. If you are having any difficulty accessing or reviewing your student's progress on Infinite Campus, please contact your child's Tiger Time Teacher.
We have completed the Winter MTYA assessment and are close to finished with the important WIDA Test for our Multiple Language Learners.
Be safe and healthy during school vacation next week!

Reading Challenge
February is here, it’s cold outside, and the groundhog saw his shadow—hello 6 more weeks of winter! That means it’s the perfect time to cozy up with a good book. Blind Date with a Book is a chance to try something new and discover a story students might not normally choose (Directions are attached).
Six more weeks of winter = six more weeks to fall in love with reading!

Seeing and Being Seen at Winter Bus Stops
As winter weather continues, we want to remind families that snowbanks and icy conditions can create additional safety challenges at bus stops. Large snowbanks can limit visibility for students, bus drivers, and motorists, making it especially important for children to stand well back from the road and wait for the bus to come to a complete stop before approaching. Families are encouraged to clear snow around bus stops when possible, dress students in bright or reflective clothing, and accompany younger children to and from the bus. Taking a few extra precautions during the winter months helps ensure our students are seen, safe, and able to board and exit the bus securely. To read more about bus safety tips, click below.
