Friday Updates

Dear SHS Families,

Happy Friday, everyone! Navigating the First week of September gave a sense of the beginning of the year ending, and having our regular routines and classes really begin to take off. I want to thank all the families who participated in our service wear day this Friday. We successfully raised $93 for Children’s Mercy on behalf of Cole Hayden. I also enjoyed seeing the kids use the fruit and veggie bar in the cafeteria this week. We’re still working on helping students through the line more efficiently, but it was great to see the kids picking the vegetable that they were most likely to eat. I want to thank Mrs. Pryor and Mrs. Fredricks for getting that put together for us.

Next week, we have Donuts for Dads on Thursday, Sept. 11. See the attached flier or my previous email for more information. We will also be having our first all-school Benediction with Father Clem on Friday, Sept. 12th, from 10:00 to 10:30. This is a special time we get to spend together as a school to be led in sacred prayer, sing hymns of praise, receive a blessing, and adore the consecrated Body of Christ. We welcome guests to share in this time of adoration with us. Anyone wishing to attend will need to buzz in the main school entrance and sign in with the office. The Church doors will not be open at any time during Benediction.

With Faith & Hope,

Patrick (P.J.) Greer
