It's hard to believe the 2025-2026 school year is just over a week away from being over! Thank you for your continued partnership in making this such a wonderful school year! I am grateful for our staff, teachers and community and how you all work together to be ALL IN for our Bearcat students!
On behalf of the Aledo ISD Board of Trustees and all who are privileged to be Bearcat staff members, we want to wish you a fun, relaxing and safe summer break!
Also, congratulations to the Class of 2026 graduates; we're looking forward to celebrating you at Graduation on May 22! As for the rest of our Bearcats, we’ll see you on the first day of school - Wednesday, August 12! Please take a moment to look at the 2026-2027 instructional calendar as you're scheduling appointments and vacations for next school because ATTENDANCE MATTERS in Aledo ISD!

Final Report Cards
The fourth grading cycle report card grades will be accessible in Ascender Parent Portal on the afternoon of Friday, May 29th. Paper report cards will not be sent home.

2026 - 2027 Transportation Registration is Open!
We have opened registration for transportation for the 2026-27 school year once again through the same system where you register your student for school. Please register in the Ascender Parent Portal.
It is important when you are registering that you enter your address correctly with Street, Lane, Road, Way, etc. Please only register once, and please take the time to go over the 2026-2027 Transportation Handbook for Students and Parents with your student(s) before the next school year begins.
On Monday August 10, 2026, you will be able to look at your student’s route information at the AISD website Transportation Bus Information. Username is your student ID# and Password is student date of birth (mmddyyyy).
The registration form will close at midnight on Monday, August 3, to prepare for the first week of school, and it will reopen on Monday, August 17.
You must register your child for transportation by August 3 for your child to have transportation on the first days of school. Please remember that whenever you register your child for bus transportation, they will be in the routing system and assigned a bus only after three full business days have passed.
Important transportation dates:
Register by August 3 for your student to ride the bus on the first day of school, which is August 12.
Any registration after August 3 means your student may begin riding the bus on Monday, August 17.
Registering your student after August 17 requires three business days before they may begin riding the bus!
District Devices + Library Books
Interested in keeping your district-issued Chromebook over the Summer? {This information is for incoming 7th- through 12th-grade students only!}
Just as we did last year, if you pay for the DPP for the 2026-2027 school year before the Chromebook pickup date for your campus, your student may keep their district-issued Chromebook over the summer and keep that same Chromebook for the 2026-2027 school year. Please note that all filtering and restrictions on our district-issued Chromebooks will stay in place over the summer, even if you take the Chromebook out of district. Chromebook pickup dates are being communicated by each campus.
The DPP is $27 and can be paid through MySchoolBucks, and this covers unlimited breakage on the Chromebook; the charger is not covered.
This program is a win-win: it gives your child a Chromebook to use for extra studies, college applications, etc., over the summer and it checks one to-do off your back-to-school list!
Returning Chromebooks
For our secondary students (6-12), please refer to campus emails for dates on when district devices/Chromebooks will be collected. The district needs to collect all Chromebooks from students before they leave for the summer (unless you paid for the Device Protection Plan to keep your child's Chromebook over the summer), so if your student still has a school-issued device, please have them bring it to school the last week of school to return. A few reminders:
Make sure to bring both the Chromebook and charger.
Remove any stickers you have added.
Wipe down the Chromebook keyboard, screen, and case with a damp cloth.
Pre-Pay for Chromebook Device Protection Plan for 26-27 NOW!
Aledo ISD has a required Device Protection Plan for all 6th-12th graders who would like to check out a district Chromebook. Students in grades Pre-K through 5th utilize Chromebooks that stay in a cart in their classrooms on campus.
For just $27, you can get FULL COVERAGE for your child’s district-issued Chromebook. This includes unlimited accidental breakage incidents as well as theft protection coverage. The Chromebook charger is not covered under this plan. Please note that this is non-refundable and only applies to the current school year.
If you’re ready to purchase the Device Protection Plan for your student(s), please log into the district's MySchoolBucks site. If you are having trouble paying fees through My School Bucks on your mobile device, we recommend you use a laptop or desktop computer to complete the transaction.
You can access MySchoolBucks online (www.myschoolbucks.com) or through an app on your phone or device: App Store | Google Play Store.
If your student is registering as a new student for 2026-2027 and will be checking out a district-issued Chromebook, you will not be able to pay for the DPP until July 12. We will announce dates at a later time to pickup Chromebooks for next school year.

Library Books
Library books must also be returned this week. Campus librarians have been sharing late notices with teachers and students. Please look at home for any books that are still checked out and return as soon as possible. If your student finds a book checked out from another campus, please return to your current campus library. If library books are found during the summer they can be dropped off at the front desk of the Aledo ISD Administration Building. We will make sure the books get to the correct campus.
High School Transcripts
Final senior transcripts for graduates will be submitted electronically to designated universities and to their home address on Friday, May 29. Transcripts for rising seniors will be mailed to students on Wednesday, June 3. The counselors will also provide information regarding the college application timeline and process.
If copies of transcripts are not received by June 8, please contact Christina McClure chmcclure@aledoisd.org. If additional copies of transcripts are necessary during the summer, please fill out this Transcript Request form. Please give at least 7 business days from the mail date before requesting an additional copy. Transcripts will be sent within 48 business hours of our receipt of this form.
VOE - Verification of Enrollment
Students who will be receiving their driver’s license or driver’s permit this summer will need to request a VOE by filling out the VOE Request Form. This form can only be filled out by AHS-DNG students.
IF YOU KNOW YOUR CHILD WILL NEED A VOE THIS SUMMER - HAVE THEM FILL OUT THE VOE REQUEST FOR NOW!!! Any VOE provided to students during the last 5 days of school is good for the whole summer. Students may swing by the office to request one before they leave for summer.
Please allow at least 48 business hours for a response. VOE forms will be emailed to you at the address you provide. Please do not call or email from the DMV as the request cannot be processed immediately.
Cafeteria Balance Refund/Transfer
For families with graduating seniors, please email Renee Goodenough in the AISD Child Nutrition Department (rgoodenough@aledoisd.org) to request a refund of your cafeteria account balance or to transfer it to a younger sibling. Please include student name(s) and, if requesting a refund, please include current mailing address. If you have questions, please call the AISD Child Nutrition Department at 817-441-5142.
Athletics Forms and Physicals
If your secondary student (6-12) is participating in athletics, cheer or dance in the 2026-2027 school year, please go online to https://aledoisd.rankonesport.com to complete athletics forms. All students who participate in athletics, cheer, dance and/or marching band must also have a physical completed for the 2026-2027 school year. Please contact head athletic trainer Troy Little at tlittle@aledoisd.org with questions.
Again for the 2026-2027 school year, the Aledo ISD Athletics Fee will be $100 for every student in grades 7-12 who participates in an athletic program at any time during the 2026-2027 school year with the exception of the cheerleading program or student-athletes who qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. Team managers and athletic trainers must also pay the Aledo ISD Athletics Fee.
This fee MUST be paid before the student-athlete is allowed to dress out and participate in any practices, class periods or athletic events just like the requirement for a physical.
The Athletics Fee will be paid through MySchoolBucks. All students who are registered to be in an athletics period (grades 7-12) requiring a fee payment will see an invoice for the Athletics Fee in MySchoolBucks beginning on June 10. This must be paid - and parent permission forms filled out and physical completed - in order for your student-athlete to be cleared to dress out and participate in any practices or athletic events.
The completion of each of these steps required in order to participate in any practices will be noted in Rank One. There, you will see when your student-athlete is “compliant” with all requirements - annual physical, medical history, UIL Forms Signature Page, Aledo Parent Information, Sports Medicine Policy, Drug Testing Form and paid Athletics Fee - so that they may begin dressing out and participating in any practices, class periods or athletic events.
