Graduation is three days away! Here are some important updates for you (in case you're not hearing all the details from your child)!

1. Tickets were sent to every seniors school email on Friday. You can print tickets out and bring them to graduation or transfer them to your guests electronically. Remember, if we have to pivot to an indoor ceremony, these tickets will be voided and your child will receive two different tickets the morning of graduation.

2. Students are required to attend graduation practices next week. Practices are on Tuesday at 11:40, Wednesday at 9:00 am. and Thursday morning at 8:00 am.

3. On Thursday, students need to be back at school by 3:00 pm and they need to enter through the East entrance. Only students are entering through the East.

4. You child must fulfill any outstanding obligations before Thursday.

Methacton encourages our students to choose academically
challenging courses that will inspire them to work to their fullest potential.
It is also important to recognize the relevance of established prerequisites
that have been identified as important to the successful completion of a
variety of our courses. In seeking to balance the desire for academic challenge
with the importance of meeting prerequisites, the waiver policy has
been established. This policy allows students to schedule academic courses if
the grades they have earned are within three (3) percentage points of the
established prerequisite criteria.
Prerequisites and waivers are designed to provide students with
the best possible guidance toward academic success while still encouraging
students to undertake challenging academic studies. Adherence to this policy
will not be subject to administrative override.


Methacton High School Course Request Waiver Form

Students and parents must complete this form when requesting a
waiver to schedule a course for which the student has not met the prerequisite
requirements but whose earned grades fall within three (3) percentage points of
the established requirements. For Level Advancement: Students whose
final grade meets the required grade criteria for a higher level course must
complete this form to schedule the more academically challenging course. For
a Waiver Request: Students must complete this form when seeking a
waiver to request a course for which the student has not met the prerequisite
requirements but whose earned grades fall within three (3) percentage points of
the established requirements.

This form is due no later than June 20, 2025.

The Junior Class had and assembly today explaining Senior Portraits. I have attached two documents that I hope will answer your questions and simplify the process. I also wanted to highlight some of the major points:

1. There is a $0 option for Senior Portraits that is available to all students at either a campus roadshow at Methacton High School or private photo shoot at CADY studio. Parents are not obligated to purchase a photo package from CADY, the $0 session will be the photo that is used in next year's High School Yearbook.
2. Methacton High School will have (2) dates available for photos to be taken at the High School. The dates are 8/15 & 9/23. Sessions are open to schedule now. Time slots open sequentially as others fill so continue to check the site as more times will be made available. A third session will be made available if needed. https://home.cady.com/for-seniors/
3. Most sessions will include a paperback portfolio being sent to you featuring photos from your session. The portfolio is sent with a return label for your convenience. If you do not wish to keep the portfolio, simply return it by the deadline indicated on your CADY student dashboard. If you choose to keep the portfolio, there will be a charge.
4. Photo prices for Senior Portraits vary in price and begin at $49.99. Packages are more expensive but a la carte options are available. Cady has options for everyone!
5. All Seniors will be gifted a 5x7 cap & gown photo with their diploma at graduation.
