Message from Mr. Imbusch
Dear students, staff, and parents/guardians:
Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place on the following dates/times:
Thursday, November 21, 5:00pm - 8:00pm
Monday, November 25, 4:00pm - 6:30pm
Please see below for directions on how to sign up for conferences.
Although not the most uplifting topic, something that has grabbed my attention in the past few years is the increase in loneliness that I see across all demographics. When it is identified in our student population, we provide as much support as possible. It is important that we all remain vigilant to the signs of loneliness in our children, our students, and our friends.
The American Medical Association has said that “Even though people are becoming more connected through social media and other outlets, the great irony is that many people still feel lonely. That loneliness, in turn, can have far-reaching implications on a person’s health and well-being.”
This notion of technology contributing to loneliness was addressed in a NYtimes article earlier this week. It is a worthwhile read.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Sincerely,
Stephen Imbusch
