💌 A Message from Principal Meehan 💌
Welcome Back!
Hello Families!
It has been wonderful to welcome back all the smiling faces! We are settling into the new school year and are excited to have everyone back in the building! September has been very busy with lots of beginning year testing and getting used to our new reading curriculum. Over the summer teachers worked very hard to learn the new reading curriculum and are implementing it well.
October is Fire Prevention Month so we expect that we will get a visit from the Fire Department at some point to make sure we know what to do. Please know that these are drills to practice what we would need to do if we were to ever have a real one.
I want to emphasize the importance of your child/children doing their homework each night. Teachers should have reached out and explained their grade/classroom's homework expectations, so please make sure that you are aware of them. I appreciate all your help with this!
I would also like to stress the importance of your child coming to school each day, unless they are really truly ill. It is important for them to be here learning and socializing with other students. Please reach out with any questions about this.
***Remember to keep smiling!***
