Tynes Weekly Updates
April 3, 2026
Greetings from Dr. Borgese
Open House Success⦠Tiger Style!
Tiger Families,
Last nightβs Open House, Book Fair, and taco cart dinner was such a special evening for our Tynes community. It was amazing to see so many of our families on campus, connecting, celebrating, and supporting our Tigers.
A huge thank you to our PTA for putting together such a memorable night. Your time, care, and attention to detail truly made the event something special for everyone.
We were also proud to recognize our PTA Honorary Service Award recipients: Maura Ureno (Classroom Assistant), Yeni Pasillas (Kindergarten Teacher), Krystal Santa Ana (6th Grade Teacher), Carlos Martinez (Plant Coordinator), Grace Bungcayo (PTA Treasurer), Cheryl Kamachi (PTA Board Member), and Lindsey Espinoza (PTA President). Thank you for the extra time, heart, and dedication you give to support our students and school.
We are grateful for each of you and proud of the strong, connected community we continue to build together. π―
We wish all of our families a restful and enjoyable Spring Break!
Warmly,
Dr. Borgese

Jogathon Fundraiser
Our Jog-a-thon officially kicked off today! Students attended a fun assembly and learned about this yearβs prizes and how they can help raise funds for our school!
Goal: $22,000
If we reach it, the whole school earns an extra recess and Dr. Borgese and Mrs. Miller will dress up for the Jog-a-thon !Weβre using DoJiggy again this year for easy online donations (cash and checks are welcome, too). Information on setting up your studentβs fundraising page is coming home and included below.
There are:
Prizes for fundraising milestones
Awards for the top 3 fundraisers
A NEW grand prize for the overall top fundraiser
Class prizes for top-earning classes
Business Sponsorships β A Major Focus This Year
In addition to donations from family and friends, weβre placing a strong emphasis on growing our business sponsorships. Community sponsors make a huge impact and help us reach our goal faster.
You can help by:
Becoming a sponsor if you own a business
Asking your employer if they support local schools
Connecting us with a local business owner you know
Helping us reach out to businesses in the community
We have multiple sponsorship levels available, and sponsors receive recognition through event signage and school communications.
If youβre willing to help β even by reaching out to just one business β please let us know. Parent connections are incredibly powerful!
