Student Spotlight
Congratulations to our two student-athletes on signing to compete at the collegiate level! We're incredibly proud of your accomplishments and cannot wait to see what you do next. Morgan will be playing soccer at the University of Charleston and Sam will be playing baseball at Ottawa University.
Congratulations to all the students who participated in the Regional Wrestling competition this weekend. Special Congratulations to Priscilla Cunningham who finished in 4th place, and Misha Karthik who finished in 5th place. We are so proud of all these young ladies and we cannot wait to cheer them on at State!
Congratulations to Denise Zhu for earning a Gold Key and Silver Key for her artwork in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards competition. The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, established in 1923, is the longest-running and most prestigious creative recognition program for teenagers in the United States. The competition invites students in grades 7–12 (ages 13 and up) to submit original work in 29 art and writing categories, ranging from photography and painting to poetry, journalism, and dramatic scripts. Gold Key is the highest honor, with entries automatically advancing to nationals. A Silver Key recognizes exceptional, high-quality work.
We are thrilled to announce a historic milestone for Lebanon Trail: Raghav and Jake have become the first-ever team in school history to qualify for the UIL State Competition in Cross-Examination Debate. Cross-Examination (CX) debate is a grueling test of intellect and endurance. It requires the speed of an auctioneer, the precision of a researcher, and the ability to defend complex arguments against intense real-time questioning. Raghav and Jake didn't just keep up—they excelled. Competing in the largest UIL district tournament in our history—facing 16 teams from five different schools—our students proved their mettle. Their success is the result of tireless preparation, grit, and a level of mental toughness that has now set a new standard for our program. Raghav and Jake didn’t just win their rounds; they argued their way into the LT record books. Please join us in celebrating these trailblazers as they head to State!
Congratulations to JV Color Guard on their third place finish in their competition at Naaman Forest High School this weekend.
LTHS is proud to celebrate the success of our FCCLA chapter as it returns to competition after a three-year hiatus. FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) empowers students through leadership, service, cultural awareness, and real-world skill development—and this year’s results reflect that mission in action.
Shruthika Omkumar (10th grade) earned 1st Place in the Sustainability Challenge, Level 2
with her innovative Modern Clean Home design. Ragavi Rajkumar (12th grade) competed
in Fashion Construction, presenting an authentic Indian saree against fierce Competition.
Ragavi Rajkumar, along with Marmika Ghaisas (10th grade) (Interior Design, Level 2) and Lucianna De Conciliis Lobo (12th grade) (FCSA – Interior Design), will represent LTHS at the State Leadership Conference in April, where they will complete rigorous, industry-aligned competency exams in their respective subject areas as they progress through the next levels of competition.
This achievement marks a meaningful return for FCCLA at LTHS and highlights the dedication, resilience, and leadership of our students.

Introducing the Class of 2026! It was a clear, cold, windy morning, last Monday, but that did not stop the Class of 2026 from showing up for one of our all time favorite LT Traditions. Every year, this picture captures more than just faces and bodies, but instead it captures possibilities. You can almost see it in their smiles - pride, anticipation and the first moment that it sinks in and becomes real- senior year is here. Here on the Trail, we are so proud of how far they have come and even more excited for where they are headed next! The future is calling, and the LT class of 2026 is ready to answer.
Senior Yard Signs
Class of 2026 yard signs have arrived! Please stop by the front of the school to pick on up (and metal stake if needed).

Reminders
EOY Vacation Scheduling
Every instructional day counts. Unlike in recent years, student grades and assessments will now be collected through the very last week of school. The final instructional day of the 2025-2026 school year is on May 22, 2026. We know that families often plan trips in advance, but please avoid scheduling family travel before that date, as absences can affect learning and final grades.
You can review the 2025-2026 academic calendar here. Thank you for helping your student finish the year strong!
Staff Shout Outs
We encourage you to use this form to nominate a teacher or staff member who you believe deserves special recognition for their contributions. I look forward to sharing your “Staff Shout Outs” with the LT staff.
