Ms. Schaefer receives Purple Apple Award!
This past week, Ms. Schaefer (English Teacher) received a Purple Apple Award! This program is a peer-to-peer recognition program for everyone in the district and is not based on a supervisor's suggestion or recommendation. Employees of the district can nominate another employee if they have seen something amazing that one of their fellow co-workers has done. Ms. Schaefer was nominated by Mrs. Rivera, who thanked her for her mentorship!
Congratulations, Ms. Schaefer, and thank you for your positive contributions to our campus!
HEB Excellence in Educators Award
H-E-B opened nominations through Sept. 30 for its 2027 Excellence in Education Awards, with more than $1 million available to Texas educators, schools, districts, school boards and early-childhood facilities.
Please consider nominating a great educator at FHS.
Buckle Up For Safety on The School Bus!
Every school day, Florence ISD buses travel many miles to get students safely to and from school. A recent state law is helping make those rides even safer.
Senate Bill 546 requires students to wear seat belts whenever they are riding on a bus that is equipped with them.
We are encouraging parents to help reinforce this by talking with your students about the importance of buckling up. Wearing a seat belt is a small step that makes a big difference in keeping students safe!
Texas Tech will be here on September 9th @ Lunch!
