I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful, cooler weather! We are excited that Fall Break is just around the corner, and I hope your family has a restful and refreshing week together. We are off to a great start to the 2026–27 school year, and I’m grateful for all that is happening around HCA.

Please take a few minutes to check out the information below, including a campus project update, our elementary newsletter, and upcoming events.

I also want to extend a special invitation to our HCA dads and granddads for tomorrow morning. Warrior Dads will meet at 6:30 a.m. in the Warrior Room (In Building D), and we’ll also have dads on campus throughout the day for our first Warrior Dad Service Day. We are really looking forward to it!

We wanted to give you a quick update on three exciting projects happening around campus.

You may have seen the very large light poles in our parking lot last week! We’re hoping to see those go vertical in the next few weeks, bringing lights to our athletic field.

We’re also partnering with the City of Cumming to convert our septic system to sewer, so we’re waiting on a few details before that work begins.

Finally, our paving project will begin once we know where the sewer work will cross the parking lot.

Thank you to all of you who have been part of past Believe Campaigns and our Beyond Campaign for helping make these projects possible!

Is your child excited to come to school with their brother or sister someday?

We invite prospective siblings to join us for a special Future Warrior Sibling Preview Day and experience our school through their sibling's eyes!

This is a wonderful opportunity for future warriors to experience our culture and community, build connections with their future teachers, and meet new friends.

Date: Friday, October 9 for 1st -5th Grades or Friday, October 30 for rising kindergarteners
Time: Chapel and morning classroom visit
Who: Prospective siblings of current students

During this special morning, Future Warriors will:

• Visit the future grade’s class
• Attend Elementary Chapel with our school community
• Meet our teachers and Elementary principal, Mrs. Ross

All students in grades 9-12 are invited to our Homecoming Dance!

One of the things I love about HCA is the strength of our families and the community that surrounds our students. That includes grandparents!

Grandparents are such an important part of our kids’ lives, and we want them to be an even bigger part of the HCA Family. Today, I want to introduce you to Steve Daves, the grandfather of Hayden, one of our first graders. Steve has a heart for HCA and for creating opportunities for grandparents to connect with our school and our students.

If you think your child’s grandparents would enjoy being more connected to HCA, please forward this email to them so we can gather their contact information and keep them connected with opportunities throughout the year.

We already have some special opportunities coming up:

Senior Night at Senior Night - October 30
We would love to have our grandparents join us for our Senior Night football game as we celebrate our seniors and the people who have helped them get to this point.

Elementary Grandparents Day – November 6
We will welcome grandparents to campus for a special day with our elementary students. Steve will also be hosting a special breakfast for our grandparents that morning. Stay tuned for more details!

Streaming Chapel - Coming Soon

Keep an eye out for an email with a link to our Chapel Broadcast. We want to make it for grandparents near and far to be a part of our weekly chapels.

We are excited about what this can become and the opportunity to make our grandparents an even bigger part of the HCA community.

The HCA Spiritual Life Podcast helps parents stay connected to the spiritual formation of their students throughout the school year. Each episode highlights what their student is learning in Bible class, reflects on key themes from chapel, and features student voices as they process faith, life, and relationships.
