Make 'em Weep

Make 'em Weep is a tradition at Enumclaw High School where seniors deliver an honorary diploma to a staff member who has supported them along their K-12 journey. Students dress in their caps and gowns and visit the school where the staff member works. Directions are listed below.

  • Complete the sign up survey sent via student email by Friday, May 29, 2026. (Survey Link )

  • Bring your cap and gown with you to EHS on Monday, June 8th.

  • Drop by the Main Office Conference Room and sign in. Pick up the honorary diploma for the staff member you have selected.

  • When you arrive at the appropriate location, surprise your person by playing pomp and circumstance on your way in. Have your group stop the music. You then need to be ready to hand your person the honorary diploma and thank them by letting them know how they have made a difference in your life and why you selected them. Your group should then capture a photo with your phone/camera. Repeat this for each person in your group.

  • When you are finished visiting your honorary staff member please sign out of the school.

Graduation Cap Decorations

Enumclaw High School Cap Decorating Guidelines 2026

Please take into consideration the following rules when decorating your graduation cap.

Decoration of your graduation cap is not required. Graduation caps will be reviewed and approved in advance of the ceremony. Failure to follow these rules will result in the removal of the cap before the ceremony.

Expectations:

  • Designs must not be inappropriate or privilege will be taken away.
  • No objects such as signs, stuffed animals, bells, flowers, or any 3D object may rest on the cap.
  • ALL decorations MUST lay FLAT(1 inch) on the cap.
  • Nothing can lay perpendicular thus allowing us to see the decoration beyond eye level.
  • Nothing can hang down from any side of the cap.
  • Your cap CANNOT make noise.

Further instructions can be found here - Cap Decorating Guidelines
