Kiker Community,
I hear there are cooler temperatures and perhaps some rain in the forecast! That's super exciting for us and also a good reminder to begin labeling all the jackets that are about to show up. I guess this is also a huge indication that I've lived all of my life in Texas. Nonetheless, please help us by getting jackets labeled before the first "Texas cold front"!
As we close out September, October is going to keep us very busy with parent conferences, our PTA APEX Fundraiser, and more. Keep an eye on the calendar events listed below and we'll do our best to keep the reminders coming.

This week we are celebrating our amazing custodial team! This team does so much that we see and even more that we likely don't even know about. Each day we arrive to our classrooms and offices ready to go. They are in the cafeteria daily to ensure that environment is positive and healthy one, too. Not to mention when a student has an accident, throws up, or has an injury....they are always there. We are so grateful for how they not only take care of our building, but how they also take care of us!
This week we had a group of 4th graders make connections to their Character Strong "Respect" trait and share all the ways that we can show and have respect for our custodial team.💙
