Principal's Corner
I am filled with warmth and subdued excitement (in true Bellingham fashion). Between the many greetings, Theatre Showcase and Craft Fair, BFPP is a vibrant and thriving community full of love and creativity.
Winter break is an opportunity for family, fun, renewal and SNOW (at least I hope so!). When we return we will be closing in on the end of first semester. There will be information coming out about the transition and new opportunities.
Until then, enjoy a few weeks off and we will jump right back in, in the new year!
Warmly, Principal Kate

LEO 2nd Semester Updates
Dear LEO Families,
Congratulations on great engagement and many successes in online learning this semester!
What about weekends and scheduled vacation days?
All online learning materials are available throughout weekends and breaks. However, we will not have staff reviewing submitted online learning coursework. This means that your students are able to access everything in their online learning courses, but may run into a 'stuck' place if they complete an assignment that requires scoring or an additional attempt at a quiz in order to move on. This does not occur often, but is possible, and we apologize for the inconvenience it may cause.
The semester is changing. Now what?
All Semester 1 online courses will be closed and inaccessible after 1/20/22.
Enrollment for Semester 2 courses is completed through your Learning Plan Partner at BFPP.
Online courses available for semester 2 include English Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science per grade level. 7th graders are able to choose between WA State History or Sem 2 7th Grade Social Studies. As usual, work with your learner and BFPP Learning Plan Partner to design the portfolio of online learning courses that works best for your learner.
Semester 2 courses will be open and available for students on 1/31/22 if enrolled prior to 1/31/22.
Students are able to enroll in online coursework at anytime throughout the year. Please allow a week between enrollment and access to coursework.
Have a wonderful Winter Break!

Friends of the FRC Fundraiser
Please consider donating to the Winter Helping Hands Campaign by the Friends of the Family Resource Center. We provide coverage for basic and emergent unmet needs (think: deodorant, detergent, boots, gas cards, kitchen supplies, diapers, etc) for Bellingham students and their families for which no other funding can be found. As you know, prices are up overall - as is need. 100% of these donations go straight to families.
To donate online please click here.
You can also send your tax-deductible donation by check to Friends of the FRC, P.O. Box 24, Bellingham, WA 98227-0024.
