The DIU calendar for 2026-2027 is live on our website to help you plan your schedule and keep track of important dates.

We are so excited to be making the transition to the new Capezio low-top dance sneakers for all Hip Hop, Hip Hop & Handstands and Hip Hop It Up! classes.

We will be reaching out to all registered dancers when the shoes arrive in Sugarplums. Until then, dancers may wear their old hip hop shoes if they still fit. Dancers new to hip hop, or who do not have the old shoe style to wear, are asked to wear sneakers with non-marking soles. Shoes worn to class must be clean (not worn outside) to protect our dancers and the studio floors.

Dancers with Hip Hop roles in our production of Not Just Nutcracker will be wearing the old style, solid black dance sneakers. We will work with families to procure or borrow shoes for the show as needed.

No dancing experience necessary! Join us in our inclusive and welcoming environment. Adult classes are a terrific addition to your fitness routine.

Adult Tap & Tone is an hour long tap class that focuses on fitness and fun while working on tap steps and combinations. Tap & Tone is taught by Miss Kaylee on Mondays from 7:00-8:00.

Adult Ballet & Stretch is an hour long class that begins with stretches and a barre warm-up. Ballet combinations are tailored to the dancer's fitness and experience level. Ballet & Stretch is taught by Miss Zoie on Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30.

Mini Sessions are a great way for dancers to join our Dance It Up community without a long term commitment. Six-week long sessions begin when the timing is right for you! We offer mini sessions in Dance 'N Play, Intro to Dance, Ballet/Tap I/II, Fundamentals I/II, Hip Hop, Acro and Irish. Mini sessions are non-recital classes. Please email the studio for pricing and details. This is a great program for current dance families to try out a new genre, or for families new to Dance It Up!

Private or small group lessons are a great way to work on your technique in a focused environment. One on one support can help you add a new move or skill to your dance repertoire and build confidence in weekly classes.

Lessons are available with most teachers in any genre. They can be arranged as a one-time class, or you can schedule weekly meetings throughout the season.

Preschoolers love to move and tumble to music, and our programs developed just for their age group are a great first extracurricular activity for them to explore movement, creativity and social skill building, all while having fun!

Acro Dance Preschool for ages 3-5, focuses on physical literacy. In this one hour weekly class dancers will practice skills like pike position, skipping, marching, pre-cartwheel, plié, and tendu. The focus of this program includes learning the acro positions, locomotive skills such as jumping and hopping, balance skills, classroom behavior skills, movement concepts, cooperation and social skills. The magic is in the repetition, imaginary play, fun and games. Ms. Kaylee is an Acro Dance Preschool certified instructor and is happy to welcome you to class on Thursday afternoons.

The Dance 'N Play experience is a one-of-a-kind magical movement program for ages 2.5-4. This hour-and-a-half session is designed to stimulate the minds and bodies of young children. It introduces movement and music in a distinctive way, encouraging them to explore their imaginations and develop gross motor skills at their own pace using props, costumes, music and creative movement. Dance ‘N Play® was created by educators to foster a love for movement and music in an engaging, safe and supportive environment. Ms. Maureen invites you to enroll in Dance 'N Play on Tuesdays or Saturdays.

We have a great new Bring a Friend week coming your way in October! Watch out for more information about how you can win a prize when you sign up to bring a friend to class with you during the week of October 5-10.

Dance It Up! Themed Friday Night Parties for ages 4-11 are a fun-tastic time for all!

Bring a friend to dance and party with us. We'll provide a snack, dancing, games and a themed activity.

You can sign up for one or multiple parties. Please complete a separate form for each participant.

EARLY SIGN UP SPECIAL! Sign up for all five Friday Night Parties by October 9, and save $50.00 on your party registration!

• 10/16/2026 - Halloween Spooktacular! Put on your costume and join us for some not so spooky fun and dancing. We'll have an extra special snack together. This party is for ages 3-11
  
• 12/18/2026 - PJ/Movie Night. Put on your favorite PJ's and get ready for a holiday movie with a snack to match and games to delight
• 1/22/2027 - 50's Sock Hop Night. Poodle skirts and ponytails! We'll have some hand jivin' fun!
• 3/5/2027 - Western Night. Line dancing!!! Grab your boots and cowboy hat, we've got some partying to do!
• 4/30/2027 - Under the Sea! Mermaids and pirates welcome! We're sure you'll have a swimmingly good time.

Friday, October 16, put on your costume and your dancing shoes and join us for a not so scary night of fun, games and snacks. This is event is perfect for boys and ghouls, ages 3-10, and is open to the entire community. Find a link to register and more information on our website. This event always sells out so register early!
