Supporting Student Wellness with Free Mental Health Services
The Salinas City Elementary School District is proud to partner with the California Department of Health Care Services, Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (“CYBHI”) Fee Schedule program that funds essential health, behavioral health, and mental health services to all students—right at school.
The CYBHI Fee Schedule program allows SCESD to receive reimbursements for eligible behavioral health and mental health services provided to students covered by Medi-Cal managed care plans, Medi-Cal-Fee-for-Service, private health care service plans, and disability insurers.
To keep these services available and expand support for our students, we kindly ask families to share their medical insurance information. This helps SCESD receive additional funding to grow and sustain the program.
Please see the attached forms, and complete and return to your school's front office.
Dual Immersion Parent/Guardian Meetings
Considering seeking placement in the District's award-winning Dual Immersion Program for the 2027-2028 school year? One of the requirements is to attend a single information meeting. which explains how to apply, and how the Dual Immersion program is crafted to meet student needs.
We have a variety of meetings taking place—some virtual, and some in person. Please see the flyers below, and please share with friends or family who might be interested in Dual Immersion!
Power Day Results
Power Days are special days in the District—they are days when data show attendance wanes, usually because of a three-day weekend. The District plans special events on these Power Days, to energize students and entice them to come to school.
