Supporting Student Wellness with Free Mental Health Services Supporting Student Wellness with Free Mental Health Services

The Salinas City Elementary School District is proud to partner with the California Department of Health Care Services, Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (“CYBHI”) Fee Schedule program that funds essential health, behavioral health, and mental health services to all students—right at school.

The CYBHI Fee Schedule program allows SCESD to receive reimbursements for eligible behavioral health and mental health services provided to students covered by Medi-Cal managed care plans, Medi-Cal-Fee-for-Service, private health care service plans, and disability insurers.

To keep these services available and expand support for our students, we kindly ask families to share their medical insurance information. This helps SCESD receive additional funding to grow and sustain the program.

Please see the attached forms, and complete and return to your school's front office.

Power Day Results Power Day Results

The District wants to share the results of the recent Power Day, which took place the Friday before Indigenous Peoples' Day. The chart below shows the change in student attendance between last year and this year on the Friday before the three-day weekend, given in observance of Indigenous Peoples' Day.

Power Days are special days in the District—they are days when data show attendance wanes, usually because of a three-day weekend. The District plans special events on these Power Days, to energize students and entice them to come to school.
