Wildcats in Action Wildcats in Action

Last week marked the first week of November and started the countdown to Thanksgiving Break! Only 2 More Weeks!

Our High School Boys Football program ended their season this week against Electra! Only the Junior High and the Varsity were in action this week. The JH boys showed grit and toughness in their effort on Thursday, but ultimately lost their final game. The Varsity closed out the season in style with 60 - 0 blowout win over district foe, Electra. The boys program will transition to basketball season this coming week!

Our High School Volleyball team's season game to an end in an exciting Area Round Matchup against a very good Christoval team. The girls battled hard, but ultimately fell in four sets. The girls will now transition to basketball, with their first games this coming Monday in Alvord!

Our JH and HS girls program are making their shift to basketball season! Athletes that have completed their volleyball seasons are practicing after school for what hopes to be a great basketball season!

JH One Act Play will be busy this week putting on their final touches to their upcoming performance of "The AI Play." Stay tuned for information on a public performance prior to competition!

Wildcat Rising: Together We Rise — The Little Things Make the Difference!

One of the things I have learned over the years is that success is rarely determined by one big moment, but rather by the small details we choose to focus on every single day. Whether in the classroom, on the athletic field, on the stage or in life, the difference between being average and being great often comes down to how well we take care of the little things.

Showing up prepared, paying attention to details, maintaining a positive attitude, and giving our best effort may not always seem like major accomplishments, but over time, those habits separate those who simply participate from those who find ways to win. It is also important to recognize that things will not always go our way. There will be difficult days, disappointing outcomes, and circumstances beyond our control. When those moments come, successful people learn to shift their focus away from what is going wrong and toward what they can do to make things better.

Instead of dwelling on setbacks, placing blame, or allowing negativity to take over, we must ask ourselves, "What can I control, what can I improve, and what can I do differently tomorrow?" That simple shift in mindset can make all the difference. As we continue through the school year, I want to challenge our Wildcats to take ownership of the details, stay focused on the things within their control, and understand that progress is built through consistent effort over time.

We may not win every moment, but we can make the decision to approach every moment with a winning mindset. When we each commit to doing the little things right, supporting one another through challenges, and getting a little better every day, we build a culture of excellence that extends far beyond our campus. Focus on the details. Control what you can control. Find a way to win the day.
