Transportation Updates Transportation Updates

The end of this school year and the beginning of next will be here before we know it! If you need alternate transportation for this upcoming school year, please fill out the alternate transportation form. If you had filled one out for this past school year, please also fill one out for next school year. Forms need to be completed annually.

This is for families who require different transportation arrangements (such as picking up and/or dropping off students at an alternate location). To sign up for alternate transportation, please follow these simple steps:

  1. Complete the Transportation Request Form: The form can be found at this link: Alternate Transportation Form
  2. Submit the Form: Please submit the completed form by August 14th, 2025. If it is submitted after this date, this transportation will not be guaranteed for the first week of school
  3. Confirmation: Check PowerSchool or contact your building administrator/administrative assistant to find transportation.

Please note that the availability of alternate transportation may be subject to space and routes, so we encourage you to submit the form as soon as possible.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to contact RaeAnn Lessing (Transportation Coordinator) by phone or email.

Mr. Hitz will be working with a group of sixth-grade students to create a slideshow representing their elementary career for the recognition celebration in June. If you have pictures of your child and their classmates at district events, please share them with Mr. Hitz using the following email address: grade6grad@acschools.org. Pictures can be from any year, kindergarten through sixth grade. Thank you in advance for your help!!

Dress Code Reminders Dress Code Reminders

As the weather gets warmer, we will be reminding students of the district dress code. A reference guide from the secondary school (which also applies at AE) shows appropriate dress for school and is also pictured below. Please support these efforts by also discussing and helping to enforce these expectations at home. While proper footwear is not included in the guide below, it is important to discuss with your child. We have seen an increased number of visits to our nurses' office from students wearing sandals and Crocs during recess. Please help us to avoid injury by having your child wear sneakers or other protective footwear to school. Thanks in advance for your help!

Teacher and Staff Appreciation Teacher and Staff Appreciation

Please help us celebrate our hardworking teachers and staff and all they do for our students and school each day!

Students in Mrs. Uhrich's fourth-grade classroom collected data this week. They measured their success rate when flipping water bottles! The class then made line plots based on their data and used them to analyze and answer questions.

Students in Ms. Brown's class learned about public transportation this week. They learned about bus safety, how to alert the bus that they would like a ride, and also got to enjoy a ride through Annville! Thank you to Lebanon Transit for this opportunity!

Sixth-grade students competed in a STEM challenge to end the week. They were given newspaper and tape and tasked with building the tallest standing tower. Throughout the challenge, they had to meet other requirements, add additional materials, and show creative thinking.

Mrs. Hoover joined third-grade recess on Friday for a game of Sharks and Minnows! Together with many students, she celebrated a student's efforts in the classroom. This shows that hard work pays off!
