OUR ALWARD WALKATHON HAS LAUNCHED! ALWARD ELEMENTARY'S FUNDRAISER HAS BEGUN ~ Alward Trailblazers: The Road to $33K
Hello Alward Families,
We are thrilled to announce our annual Alward Elementary Walkathon - Trailblazers: The Road to $33K!
Every Step Counts! Every Student Matters! This exciting event is set for Friday, October 2, 2026 and we need
your support to make it a success!
Why This Walkathon Matters: The Walkathon is our school’s main fundraiser and plays a key role in
supporting our students, teachers and school community. With your generous support we plan to raise $33K to
fully fund these enriching and fun programs like One School/One Book, Family Events, Popcorn Days, and
support for our teachers and staff. Check out the '26-'27 PTC Budget for a full breakdown of how Walkathon
dollars are planned to support our students, staff, and classrooms.
How You Can Get Involved
● Register Your Child: Sign up for the Walkathon by registering online at

● All students will receive a special ALWARD T-SHIRT to wear on walkathon day! Register by Sunday,
September 20th to receive your child's preferred size.
● Share and Fundraise: Once registered, please share your child’s fundraising page with family and
friends. Encouraging them to make a donation will greatly support our efforts.
Walkathon Goals & Rewards
Whole School Rewards:
● $20K Goal: Special Treat for the whole school
● $25K Goal: Campers Dance Party with Mrs. Mucha
● $30K Goal: Mrs. Mucha dresses up as a park ranger
● $33K Goal: Camp Alward
Class Rewards:
● Top Earning Class in Each Grade: Ice Cream Float Party
● Top Earning Class Overall: Pizza Party
Individual Rewards:
● Sign-Up: Every student receives an Alward T-shirt!
● Raise $30: Eagle Water Bottle Sticker
● Raise $60: Kids Compass
● Raise $90: Eagle Keychain
● Raise $150: Eagle Stuffy
● Raise $300: S’mores & Camp Songs with Mrs. Mucha
Your support is invaluable in making this year fantastic for our students. Thank you for your commitment and
generosity to our school community! Donations can be made easily through Fund Hub, and we also accept
cash and checks made payable to: Alward PTC.

Due to the number of food allergies in the school, we ask that you please bring in non food items for birthday treats. Please see examples below.
NO FOOD/CANDY BIRTHDAY TREATS WILL BE ALLOWED.
Research shows that half of the students who miss just 2-4 days of school in September go on to miss a month or more of school cumulatively over the entire year.
Your efforts to get your child to school on time each day make a big difference. Every day your student is at school counts. Let’s start strong and stay strong all year long!

Pack 3149 invites you to check out our Cub Scout Pack, open to all kids in grades K - 5.
#AdventureOn with us on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Thursday evenings from 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM throughout the school year at Jenison Christian Church.
