Lock Down Drills Lock Down Drills

As we look ahead to next week, I want to make you all aware that we will be having our second ALICE drill of the school year on Monday, January 13. Prior to the drill, teachers will be reminding students of the upcoming drill and reviewing drill procedures in their classrooms. In addition, before starting the drill, I will make an announcement that we are about to begin an ALICE drill and remind students that the purpose of the drill is to keep us prepared and safe if there were ever an emergency.

The purpose of this plan is to eliminate any fear or anxiety related to the drill. I will continue to share information with parents during the weeks that we have ALICE drills in hopes that you can also discuss these drills at home with students as well. If you would like any additional information, I encourage you to use the link https://www.birmingham.k12.mi.us/programs-services/safety-security for resources and further information. The PowerPoints are posted on this site for you to view as well.

If you have questions about any of our district safety procedures, please contact Mrs. Hoyne.
