COPPER CREEK BOBCAT BLAST
SUNDAY, JULY 28, 2024

Dear Copper Creek Families,
With field trips quickly approaching, we want to remind our Copper Creek families that DVUSD now requires all parent volunteers and field trip chaperones to complete their volunteer training online every school year.
In the past, families were informed that volunteer training only needed to be completed once. However, at the beginning of this school year, Deer Valley Unified School District (DVUSD) updated its policy and now requires volunteers to complete the training annually.
To get started, please visit the DVUSD volunteering webpage below and complete and submit both required forms:
https://www.dvusd.org/departments/human-resources/volunteering
Please plan ahead! Once both forms have been submitted, the district's approval process can take up to two weeks. If you are interested in chaperoning an upcoming field trip, we encourage you to complete the forms as soon as possible to allow enough time for your approval.
Please note: Once your forms have been submitted and processed, you will not receive a notification from the district or the school letting you know that you have been approved. If you have completed the forms and are waiting to hear back, please know that you will not receive a separate confirmation. After allowing the full two weeks for processing, you are welcome to contact the school office, and our staff can look up your status to see whether you have been approved.
Please remember that you must be approved by the district before you can participate as a field trip chaperone.
Thank you for your understanding, support, and continued involvement in your child's education.

Candy Monster
Please bring any candy donations for Trunk or Treat to the office. Thank you!!
Thank you to all of the students, teachers, and families who shopped at our Literati Book Fair. We were able to successfully raise funds for our library to purchase new books! Thank you to our amazing book fair volunteers for setting up and working the book fair all week. We couldn't do it without you!
If your student had a balance of $5 or less at the end of the fair, the remainder was donated to the school account and it was used to purchase books for the library. If your student had a balance greater than $5 remaining, it was kept on their account and can be used toward a purchase year round from the Literati Store. We look forward to our next book fair with Scholastic, February 8-12, 2027!
