COVID Response Report

Director of Communication and Staff Housing Austin Worden shared that similar to the February Recess, rapid antigen tests will be sent home with all students and staff for the Spring Break.

Students and staff are asked to take one test on Sunday, April 9 or the morning of Monday, April 10 prior to returning to campus, and again on Wednesday, April 12, during the first week back. If a student or staff member tests positive, we ask that they report this to their school and fill out this self reporting form.

Also, the District is following updated changes from the CPDH (California Department of Public Health) to isolation days for work and school. To learn about those changes, please click here.

March Student of the Month Honored

Congratulations to Westmoor High School's Grace Moevao for being honored as the District's Student of the Month, March 2023.

When one thinks of the word “Ramily,” spirited, self-directed learner, and critical thinker are words that come to mind. Grace is all of those things and more. She is light hearted, good natured, well humored, always smiling and greets everyone she meets with a ‘good morning’ upon arriving at school. She never misses an opportunity to cheer someone up!

As a graduating senior, she plans to attend Skyline College where she’ll begin her field of study in education and her wanting to be a teacher. This fits her well, as she currently is a youth leader at her church and volunteers with Good Samaritan SF.

At Westmoor she is a standout athlete for the school’s basketball and volleyball teams. Her teammate, Ritz Wamat, stated that “she never feels the need to make a serious situation uncomfortable, always lightening the mood and encouraging other players.”

WHS Athletic Director Mary Ann Paul had this to say about Grace. “On the athletic field, she is a hardworking and tenacious athlete who always strives to be better day in and out. As a student, she constantly wears a smile on her face and is willing to help students and staff alike. Her Westmoor pride is extremely contagious.”

English teacher, Mr. Andrew Finnerty, had these remarks about Grace. “She’s courteous and spreads goodwill to everyone around her. That is the definition of grace.”

Eric Kocmich, Grace’s social studies teacher, shared that she “is a terrific human being and a tremendous force of positivity to those who come into her orbit.”

Westmoor High School is very fortunate to have a student of Grace’s caliber present on their campus. Her positive and caring attitude will take her far and we look forward to watching this incredible person continue to make a true difference in this world.

Congratulations to Grace Moevao, the District’s Student of the Month for March.
