Message From ADL Health Office
As we navigate through respiratory illness season, here are a few tips to help keep our community healthy:
Stay home when you are sick. You can return when you have not had a fever for at least 24 hours without using fever-reducing medicine. For additional information, visit the ADL Health Office website.
Consider wearing a mask when you return to activities.
Wash your hands often!
Avoid touching your mouth, eyes, or nose.
Do not share food or drinks.
Cover your coughs and sneezes.
Routinely clean/disinfect commonly touched surfaces.
Consider getting vaccinations.
For further information, visit the Vermont Department of Health Respiratory Illness website.
Gone Guys Screening
Essex Cinemas is hosting two screenings of the documentary Gone Guys at the T-Rex Theater tonight, January 22, and Friday, January 23, at 6:00 PM. Set in rural Vermont, this 45-minute film draws on Richard Reeves' work "Of Boys and Men," putting the spotlight on the mental health and disengagement of boys and young men from school, work, and the greater society, and the ways local educators, mentors, and community partners are working to support them. Tickets are by donation and include a panel discussion.
