Simpson Elementary School: August 2026 Edition
NEW! Skyward Qmlativ
This summer, Montesano moved to a new version of Skyward called Skyward Qmlativ. Here is the new link to log into Skyward: Skyward Family Access. Sign in with the same username and password you used before the upgrade.
If you had the previous Skyward app on your phone, please delete it and re-download it, then search for Wsipc-Montesano School District to connect your account.
Annual Student Registration
An annual registration must be completed for all students currently enrolled in the Montesano School District. Registration opens August 17 and closes August 23. To update your student's information, log in to Skyward Family Access and click on “Annual Registration". All registrations must be completed by August 23, 2026.
You will be able to see your child’s class placement in Skyward under "Schedule" once the registration process is complete.
If you need Skyward assistance or do not know your login information, please email simpsonskyward@monteschools.org or call the Simpson Elementary office at (360) 249-4331. If you do not have access to a computer, you may access one at Timberland Regional Library or at the Simpson office by appointment.
Child Nutrition Eligibility and Education Benefit (CNEEB)
Unlike previous years, the CNEEB (Child Nutrition Eligibility and Education Benefit) Application will not be a part of the annual registration. It is a separate tile called "Food Service Applications" on the home screen of your Skyward account. This application is for those that would like to apply for Free and Reduced-price meal benefits, Summer EBT (SUN Bucks) benefits, and reduced fees for other programs and activities. Even though Beacon and Simpson meals are free for every student, filling out the application still matters. It impacts the funding that each school receives from the federal and state government, plus helps to continue this free program in future years.
Note: If you do not see a "Food Service Applications" tile on your Skyward Family Access, it is likely that you have already been directly certified by DSHS for benefits and an application is not necessary.
Open House
Students and families are invited to an open house at Simpson Elementary School on Monday, August 31, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Students will be able meet their teachers and see their classrooms in preparation for another school year! Students may bring their school supplies with them to open house. Hope to see you there!

Arrival and Dismissal
SCHOOL SCHEDULE
Regular Schedule: 8:20 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. - Monday - Friday
Early Dismissal: 12:10 p.m. - select calendar days only
Doors will open at 8:00 a.m. Students enter through the double doors between the library and the gym. Students eating breakfast at school should go directly to the gym. Students not eating breakfast should drop their backpack outside their classroom and go to the playground until the first bell rings.
If you are picking up your child after school, please remember to pull forward to the furthest available pick up slot to allow for an efficient dismissal. Your child will walk forward to get in the car. All parents also appreciate everyone taking free rights onto 3rd Street to keep the traffic flowing smoothly.
Appropriate Footwear
Students should wear appropriate sturdy footwear to school, especially on P.E. days. Flip-flops, loose sandals, slippers, or high heels are not permitted. While Crocs are popular, they are not allowed in P.E. to prevent trips and falls and to allow for maximum activity participation.
A specialist calendar will be sent home so you can keep track of the days your child has P.E. (Please note the schedule is subject to change as we navigate staffing.)
Website Update
Montesano has launched a revamped website that will provide you with all sorts of information including supply lists, bell schedules, etc. It will be an ongoing effort to make it a beneficial tool for parents to stay entertained and informed of Simpson happenings.
