Badge Winners: Respect
Each month, classes will work together to earn a badge focused on an important social-emotional learning theme. September was the theme of Respect, and students were nominated by their teachers and awarded with an individual badge.
Great work to our Respect badge winners who are practicing listening to others, using kind words, caring for school materials, respecting personal space, and making choices that help everyone feel safe, valued, and included.

Bridgewater State University Graduate Intern
We are also pleased to welcome Abigail White, a graduate student from Bridgewater State University, who will be completing her school adjustment counseling internship at South River School. She will work closely with me throughout her internship and will have opportunities to observe and participate in a variety of school counseling activities, including student support, social-emotional programming, consultation, and the evaluation process. Her internship experience will provide valuable opportunities to develop her skills while contributing to the social-emotional and academic support of our students.
Abigail White, Intern - South River School
Hi, my name is Abigail White, and I am a graduate student at Bridgewater State University completing my school adjustment counseling internship at South River School. I am excited to be part of the South River School community this school year and to have the opportunity to learn from the students, staff, and families in Marshfield. I will be working closely with Alisa Pozner, our school psychologist, and will be involved in supporting students’ social-emotional needs while collaborating with teachers and staff to best meet those needs. I look forward to gaining valuable experience and making connections with the community at South River this year.
School Nurse Notes!
Return to school policy after an illness
Please review the guidelines for when to keep your child home. Please remember the 24 hour rule: If your child has a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or a contagious infection that requires antibiotics, the child must wait at least 24 hours from resolution of the symptom (or from the start of antibiotics) before returning to school.
For complete details, please review our Guidelines When To Keep Child Home.docx
Fourth Grade Physical Exams
Thank you to the parents of fourth graders who have submitted their child’s most recent physical exam. Physicals are required to be submitted to school for students in grades K, 4, 7, and 10. If you have not submitted yet, please email or send in a copy to the school nurse. Alternatively, you can ask your child’s pediatrician to fax a copy to the nurse at: 339-244-2197. Any physical dated after June 1, 2025 works!
Have a safe weekend!
