Mrs. Mulvanerty's Update
August 18, 2024

June 7, 2026
Dear SKS,
If you walk through school this week, you’ll see bulletin boards coming down, cubbies being cleaned out, spirit day games being played, and lots of fun and excitement as we count down the days until summer...it's officially the final week of school! This week, my goal for our community is that we slow down just enough to soak it in and experience the joy of these final days together. Nowhere is that need to slow down more apparent than when we look at our graduating 8th graders. To our graduates: you have spent years growing, learning, and leading in this community. It is so easy to get swept up in the whirlwind of graduation practices, gowns, and parties. But I challenge you this week to pause. Take a breath. Look around at the friends and teachers who have walked this road with you. We are so proud of who you are, and while the hallways will feel a little emptier without you, we know you are ready for the next big adventure. I always say that once you are a student at SKS, you are ALWAYS part of our family. We love you, care about you, and can't wait to hear about all of your future adventures -- so come back and visit to tell us all about them! In the midst this high-energy week, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of Corpus Christi—the Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ. In the Gospel, Jesus tells us: “I am the living bread which has come down from heaven... whoever eats this bread will live forever.” As our 8th graders graduate into high school, and as our younger students head out into summer, they aren't going empty-handed. They have been nourished by the Bread of Life. They take with them the ultimate sustenance—Christ within them—to fuel them for whatever comes next! To our students, teachers, and parents: thank you for an incredible year and for the energy you’re bringing to this final stretch. Let’s cherish these final days together!
