Principal's Message
Next week is Homecoming Week in Loveland. I absolutely love the traditions we have with theme days organized by our Student Council and a pep rally planned by our LHS spirit club and LMS Tigers in Action. We are looking forward to a fantastic week celebrating our school spirit, community traditions, and Tiger pride.
Spirit Days (Monday – Friday)
We invite all of our students and staff to dress up and show their school spirit all week long!
Monday: Hawaiian Day
Tuesday: Teachers Dress as Students, Students Dress as Teachers
Wednesday: Rhyme Without Reason
Thursday: Tiger Spirit
Friday: Class Colors (8th grade black, 7th grade orange)
Homecoming Parade & Game
The community celebrations kick into high gear later in the week, and we hope to see many of our LMS families out supporting the district!
Thursday | Homecoming Parade: Join us as our community lines the streets to cheer on the the marching band, fall athletes, and student groups.
Friday | Homecoming Football Game: Pack the stands under the Friday night lights and root for our Tigers!
Thank you for helping us make this such a fun, memorable week for our students. Bring the energy, wear your orange and black, and let us know how we can be of support!
In Partnership,
Amanda Robinson
Principal, Loveland Middle School

Ben's Way
Did you know that LMS partners with The Ben Morrison Fund? Ben Morrison was a Loveland graduate and a person who took action for others. A selfless leader, a protector, a young man who led with grit, grind, hard work and resilience. His was a voice full of laughter and acceptance, kindness and encouragement. Unfortunately, Ben lost his life to suicide. In working with The Ben Morrison Fund, we have been able to bring other mental health presenters to LMS, provide a therapy dog, Rory, to our students and recognize students with the Ben’s Way Award throughout the school year. To find out more about The Ben Morrison Fund, Ben’s Way and Ben, visit https://benmorrisonfund.org/.
This year we have recognized two students for their random acts of kindness.
Congratulations to Damian DeFossett and Ariella Music.
Damian was recognized by Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Timmerman for always being inclusive and encouraging his peers in class. Dr. Robinson recognized Ariella for approaching a student that had been sitting alone at lunch and asking to sit with him for the day. Our students at LMS are incredible and these are two fantastic examples of Ben's Way.
Upcoming Presentations
September is National Suicide Prevention Month. In compliance with Ohio House Bill 123 (HB123), we are thankful to partner with local mental health experts to provide evidence-based programming for our students. These presentations foster mental health awareness, help students recognize signs of distress in themselves and peers, and connections with trusted resources.
Upcoming Presentations (September 16 & 30 during Advisory)
7th Grade: Signs of Suicide, presented by 1N5
8th Grade: Ending the Silence, presented by NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness)
We encourage open conversations at home surrounding these topics. Signs of Suicide provides parent resources at http://sossignsofsuicide.org/parents/. NAMI has provides parent resource at https://namiswoh.org/your-journey/kids-teens-and-young-adults/teen-young-adult-mental-health-resources/. If you have any questions regarding the curriculum or programming, please reach out to Dr. Amanda Robinson at robinsam@lovelandschools.org.
A special thank you to our PTSA for generously providing financial support to bring 1N5's Signs of Suicide presentation to our 7th grade students!
Congratuations!!!
⭐Staff Member of the Week⭐
Congratulations to Charlie Mirus!
Nominated by colleague Bryn Cole, she said, "Since we got our new laptops, Charlie has been our go-to tech guy, researching computer cases and figuring out which styluses are compatible with the screen. He even went above and beyond by purchasing styluses for the entire Special Education department out of his own pocket because he recognized how often we have people signing paperwork. I am truly so appreciative of all the extra effort, thoughtfulness, and initiative he has shown to make things easier for our department. He also always goes above and beyond to support our staff and is always willing to lend a helping hand! Thank you, Charlie!!
