CHS Drama Department Presents "One Stoplight Town"
The Coupeville High School Drama Department invites you to experience the heart and charm of small-town life in their upcoming production of "One Stoplight Town." Join 49 talented CHS students as they bring to life interwoven stories of love, friendship, change, and community through this beautiful ensemble piece. From young romance to homecomings, unlikely friendships to life's crossroads, this production celebrates the meaningful connections that define small communities like our own. After thrilling audiences with productions like "Trap," "She Kills Monsters," and "Puffs" in recent years, the drama department now offers this touching, reflective work featuring impressive set design, including a functional stoplight created through 3D printing. Don't miss this celebration of small-town pride that reminds us to treasure the place we call home!
STAFF APPRECIATION!
Dear Families,
This week (May 5-9) is Staff Appreciation Week!
Our staff brings their best every day for your kids. From classrooms to hallways, buses to cafeterias, each person makes our school special. In the coming weeks, our "One Stoplight Town" production will showcase how our community shines because of the people in it - much like our school does every day.
During this special week, we encourage you to reach out directly to the staff members who have made a difference for your child this year. A thoughtful email, handwritten note, or simply taking a moment to express your appreciation face-to-face can mean more than you know.
This is a wonderful opportunity to recognize the dedication, care, and commitment our staff brings to Coupeville schools every day. Whether it's a teacher who sparked your child's interest in a subject, a bus driver who greets them with a smile each morning, or a custodian who knows your child by name - every staff member contributes to making our school community special.
In our own "one stoplight town," our staff guides our students forward every day. Let's celebrate them!
Thank you,
Shannon Leatherwood, Superintendent
