Building on the great momentum of our first week, we had a blast at our first PBIS assembly where students and staff reviewed our expectations through fun, balloon-filled games, celebrating what it means to be respectful, responsible, and safe! A big thank you to all the parents who joined us for Back to School Night—we are so excited to partner with you this year. Student Opportunities

The AGSD Theater Department is seeking enthusiastic students in grades 2–5 for our elementary cast of Almost, Maine! Participants will learn foundational skills in acting, stage movement, and dance in a supportive, fun environment.

Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports - PBIS

Our "One Hive, One Vibe" spirit was in full action this week as students focused on following directions and showing our core expectations—Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe. Because our students did such a fantastic job meeting these expectations, every student was able to sign up for a special recess "Power Up" activity last week, choosing from fun September events like Wiffle Ball, a Gaga Ball Tournament, the Dunk Tank, Arts & Crafts, Kickball, or a Nature Trail Trip!

Looking ahead to next week, our weekly PBIS focus will be wearing our lanyards all day long. You can support this at home by reminding your child to double-check that they have their lanyard on before heading out the door each morning. Thank you for partnering with us to keep our community safe, connected, and focused on positive choices!
