PRINCIPAL FOR A DAY: MINERVA

We had the joy of having our honorary Principal for a Day, "Principal Minerva," at Atkinson on Wednesday! As one of the auction items from the PTA auction last weekend, Principal Minerva got to wear a very smart blazer, open doors with her official badge, make announcements over the loud speaker and radio, check in on classrooms, and lead our all-school assembly. She did a great job!

UPCOMING SAFETY DRILLS

PPS works hard to ensure that all staff and students are trained to respond effectively and efficiently during an emergency at or near school. One of the many ways we accomplish this is through our mandatory drill requirements. These drills are essential in ensuring our school community is as prepared as possible for emergency situations. Atkinson's emergency drill schedule for the remainder of the school year is as follows:

  • Monday, June 1 — Evacuation/Fire Drill
