The Mineral Point Homecoming Parade will take place on Thursday, October 3rd at 6:15 PM on High Street. To make this event a success WE NEED YOUR HELP. We are looking for lead volunteers.. Lead volunteers will report to Water Tower Park by 5:45 and be the point of contact for the grade level they are volunteering for. Any parent/guardian or school staff interested in volunteering should sign up by emailing Jane Barr at jane.barr@mp.k12.wi.us or by calling the elementary school at 987-0710 by Wednesday. MPES Word of the Month

Each month students will be focusing on a new word of the month. For the month of September our word is "Mindfulness". Mindfulness involves being fully present and aware in the moment. All classrooms were introduced to the idea by viewing a video about mindfulness and reading the book "Mind Bubbles" by Heather Krantz, MD. Throughout the month classrooms are working on different activities to promote mindfulness including mindful breathing, mindful listening, mindful coloring, and yoga. Check out our facebook page for more pictures and information about how we're implementing mindfulness in our classrooms this month!
