New Student Registration for families new to Syracuse Junior High, registration will be held August 5, 6, and 12 from 8:30-2:30 pm. Please call our front office (801-402-6800) to make an appointment to meet with a counselor. Parents are welcome to stop by the office ahead of time to pick up a registration packet to help speed up the registration process.
Student schedules will be available in MyDSD beginning August 7. We encourage students and families to review schedules before the start of school. Once schedules are released, be on the lookout for a link sent by counselors to submit your schedule change requests.
Our incoming 7th graders are invited to attend Seahawk Bootcamp on August 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This event helps students become familiar with the school, meet staff, and feel prepared for junior high. The students will also be issued their school issued laptop to use for the time that they are at this school. However, they will ONLY be issued their laptop early if the "DSD Discretionary Protection Plan for Electronic Devices" (found on your MyDSD account under "Sign Documents") has been signed by a parent or guardian.
We also invite all families to attend Back-to-School Night Open House on August 18 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This is a great opportunity to meet teachers, find your classrooms, and learn about the upcoming school year.
We are excited to welcome students back and look forward to a great year together. Enjoy the rest of your summer, and we'll see you soon!
Take Care,
Pat Limas, Principal
