TO THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR!
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! On behalf of the entire staff in the Boyertown Area School District, I welcome you with the assurance that we are prepared to assist all students/families in helping make this year your best school experience.
I would like to introduce myself to families new to the Boyertown Area School District and welcome those returning to our schools. Additionally, I want to thank the Boyertown community for its incredible support and resources for our schools. As a District, we are fortunate to have supporting school/community-related organizations who assist with large amounts of financial support, volunteers, and resources needed to aid a well-rounded approach to educating the students in Boyertown.
I commend the Board of Directors in Boyertown Area School District for their commitment to our students, families and residents. Their dedication and decision-making continue to support the district’s goals related to maintaining safe yet high performing schools. As we enter the second of a five-year strategic plan titled Future Ready by Design, please take time to review the many goals and timelines the school district looks to achieve and meet.
It has been a very busy and productive summer in the district. As you may already be aware, two major capital projects took place this summer – Phase 1 of the Boyertown Elementary School HVAC/Roof Replacement/Lighting renovation and two high school turf field installations. While both projects are near their completion, many other capital, curricular, and safety enhancements were also completed.
As we begin the 2026-2027 school year Monday, August 24, please be mindful that traffic patterns are always a significant safety concern. Road projects, additional housing and more buses in our area have put more stress on community roads. Please be mindful of speed restrictions, especially around our school buildings.
I look forward to working together throughout the 2026-2027 school year. You have my unwavering support as we strive to guide each one of our students on a path toward success.
Sincerely,
Scott Davidheiser, Ed.D.
The first day of school for all BASD students is Monday, August 24, 2026! We cannot wait to welcome our students back for the new school year!
The New Look of BASD
Community Bulletin Board Update for 2026 2027
BASD deeply appreciates the wonderful programs, events, and opportunities local community organizations provide to enrich the lives of our students and families. To that end, we continue to host our online Community Bulletin Board.
In our ongoing efforts to increase efficiency, reduce environmental waste, and respect the diverse needs of our households, we contacted our community partners to notify them that for the 2026-2027 school year, we are moving to a fully digital format. BASD will no longer district paper flyers directly to elementary students. The district had previously discontinued this practice at the middle school and high school levels.
Please note that paper flyers may still be distributed at all levels for the following approved entities:
- District-, School-, or Club-Sponsored Events
- Parent/Teacher Organizations (PTOs/PTAs)
- Booster Clubs/Athletics
All weekly building-level newsletters will contain a link directly to the online board, as will Let's Talk Tuesdays. The board is also available from the top of all district web pages under the Community & Alumni dropdown menu.
We believe this transition will streamline communication, respect parental choice, and provide a more reliable, accessible platform for our families to connect with our community.
Stopfinder Invites: Wednesday, August 19, 2026
IMPORTANT NOTE: Families who registered for Stopfinder during the 2025-2026 school year and continue to have students registered with the district, can disregard this message. Existing users do NOT need to reapply and will NOT receive an invitation.
Quigley Bus Services utilizes Stopfinder, a bus tracking app that integrates with the transportation’s bus routing system and GPS equipment to provide up-to-the-minute information to our families.
If your family is NEW to BASD in the 2026-2027 school year OR you have been with the district, but did NOT register for Stopfinder in 2025-2026, invitations to join the service will be sent on Thursday, August 19th.
The invitations will be addressed from Stopfinder no-reply@stopfinder.com and arrive throughout the day. It is important to note that your email service provider may forward messages from unrecognized email addresses to your junk/spam/trash folders. We kindly ask that you please always check these folders for Stopfinder information before reaching out to Quigley for additional support.
Invitations will ONLY be sent to Priority 1 and Priority 2 contacts within Infinite Campus. Those contacts can then share the service with others. HOWEVER, neither the district nor Quigley will be able to invite other student contacts to the program for safety and security reasons. The invitations will include specific instructions on signing up for the service and sharing with others.
Quigley will ask you to follow this protocol when asking for help with the application registration process:
If you are a Priority 1 or 2 student-contact in IC AND, you have checked those email folder locations, AND it is later than 9 AM on Thursday, August 20th, AND you have not received your invitation to sign up for the app, please notify Quigley Bus Service via email to transportation@boyertownasd.org. Please remember, all new or new to Stopfinder families will receive their invitations to this service on the same day. We ask that you allow up to 3-5 business days for a response.
