Message from the Principal
Dear North Oldham Families,
Welcome back from fall break! I hope your students came back rested and ready for the weeks ahead. This is one of my favorite times of the year at North Oldham, with fall teams peaking, the semester in full swing, and a lot of Mustang pride to celebrate.
Celebrating Our Region Champions
We have a lot to be proud of right now. Congratulations to our boys' soccer, volleyball, and cross-country teams on winning their region championships! These accomplishments reflect countless hours of practice, dedication, teamwork, and perseverance, along with the support of our coaches and families. We could not be prouder of these student-athletes.
The celebration isn't over yet:
• Cross-country will be running for the state championship this Saturday at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.
• Volleyball will play in the first round of the state championship on Monday against Assumption @ 6:30.
Please join me in wishing both teams the best of luck, and if you're able, come out and show your Mustang pride!
Football Update
Our football team plays Atherton at Waggener tonight, and we will host the first round of the playoffs next Friday. Come out and support our Mustangs!
Important Reminders for the Coming Days
• Daylight saving time ends: Clocks will be set back one hour beginning Sunday.
• No school Monday: Students are out of school for parent-teacher conferences.
• No school Tuesday: Students are out of school for Election Day.
A Note on Parent-Teacher Conferences
We encourage you to take advantage of parent-teacher conferences on Monday. If you have any concerns or questions about how your student is doing, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect directly with their teachers, celebrate successes, and work together on any areas where your student could use extra support. We value our partnership with you and want every student to finish the semester strong.
Looking Ahead
With just a few weeks until Thanksgiving, there is so much to look forward to. Thank you for your continued support of our students, our teachers, and our school community. It's a great day to be a Mustang!

Campus Safety
Student and Parent Reminder: Help Us Keep Our Campus Safe
The safety of our students, staff, and visitors is our top priority. With many vehicles and pedestrians sharing our campus each day, it is important that everyone takes extra care when driving on school property.
Students & parents are expected to drive safely, follow all posted speed limits and traffic laws, and remain alert at all times.
Please remember:
Slow down. Speeding on campus creates unnecessary risks for pedestrians and other drivers.
Put your phone away. Using a cell phone while driving—even for a quick text or notification—can take your attention away from the road.
Stay alert. Watch carefully for students walking between parking lots, buses, and vehicles.
Follow traffic signs and directions. Obey stop signs, marked traffic lanes, and directions from school staff.
Be patient and courteous. Give other drivers and pedestrians the time and space they need to move safely.
A few extra seconds are never worth putting someone at risk. Please slow down, put the phone away, and make safe driving a priority every time you are on campus.
Together, we can help keep our campus safe for everyone.
Parking Lot Reminders
A quick but important reminder: the senior parking lot is reserved for students and visitors, please do not drop students off or park in student spaces, especially in the morning. This creates unnecessary risk of injury or accidents for our students and families. Please use the designated student drop-off and pick-up line at the beginning and end of the day. Thank you for helping us keep our students safe!
Customizing Your Child's Cafeteria Account
Did you know you can customize how your child's cafeteria account is used? The POS Portal gives parents control over student purchasing, so you can set the limits that work best for your family:
Set a daily or weekly spending cap on snacks and extra items.
Block à la carte purchases entirely, restricting the account to standard meals only. Please know that if you block à la carte purchases entirely, it restricts the student from purchasing an extra entree as well.
Select a specific day of the week that your child is allowed to buy extras.
If you would like to manage your child's cafeteria purchasing, please email NOHS's cafeteria manager at Wendy.Glahn@oldham.kyschools.us
