๐พ Principal's Message ๐พ
Hello Pershing Families!
At Pershing, learning isn't just about what we coverโit's about who we become along the way. Driven by The Panther Way, our school is a community where everyone is warmly welcomed, deeply supported, and empowered to tackle even the tough stuff together. Thatโs why we are so proud to be recognized once again as an Apple Distinguished School! Our students bring their wild imaginations to life with passion and purpose. Whether they're designing, editing, or building something entirely original, various tools, including digital ones, give our kids the power to collaborate, find their unique voices, and thrive with a team cheering them on every step of the way. Today is a great day to be a Panther! Please check out our PERSHING ADS Video.
This week we will be enjoying the Scholastic Book Fair. The shopping days are Wednesday & Thursday AFTER SCHOOL ONLY from 3:00-4:30. Please enter through our 3rd Grade doors (in our teacher parking lot) to gain access to the books! This week we will also be holding some of our official school safety drills. The BFD and BPD will be on sight with us to practice our FIRE & LOCKDOWN drills. Please make sure to help us by repeating the expectations they hear in school. Move quickly and quietly to the safe space with your teacher. Lastly, we look forward to seeing you at P/T Conferences on Thursday, Oct. 1st. If you'd like to set up a conference time and haven't heard from your child's teacher, please send them a Seesaw message and they will get you all set up.
Thank you for sending us your most prized possessions each day and for being such vital partners in our school community. Get some rest this weekend, Panthersโweโve got a full week of greatness ahead!
See you Monday morning~

School District Website is LIVE!
We're thrilled to announce the launch of our redesigned school district website! Finding what you need just got a whole lot simpler and the best part is it was designed based on YOUR survey feedback! It's now easier than ever to find the information you need, whether it's school calendars, important announcements, breakfast/lunch menus, or staff contact details.

School Safety/Visitors---Seguridad Escolar/Visitantes
Please remember if you need to enter the building, you need to enter through our main entrance on 37th Street to gain a visitors pass.
Entry into our schools during school hours is restricted using access control and security vestibules, and security cameras are utilized to monitor building security throughout the district. Parents and other visitors coming into schools must check in at the main office. Visitors will be asked to identify themselves and the reason for their visit before gaining access to our buildings. Only one person will be allowed entry into the building at a time. Please do not hold the door open for other visitors behind you or allow others through the door when leaving. We ask for your support and cooperation in communicating with our front office staff and complying with all visitor security protocols.
๐พ Arrival/Dismissal ๐พ
Our K-5 students begin entering the building promptly at 8:25. The gates open at 8:15. All students K-5 should line up on the blacktop with their classroom. We will have many teachers available to help find your child's classroom if they are completely registered. Find your childโs classroom line and the rest is up to us!. Dismissal is at 3:00 and students will be dismissed on the playground. Please meet your child on the playground or you can use the drive up service with Ms. Bazz on Scoville. Please make sure that your student(s) & their teachers know they should come to Ms. Bazz on Scoville at the end of the day and I will help them into your cars. PLEASE DO NOT JUST STOP AND DOUBLE PARK ON SCOVILLE. If your child isn't there yet, please drive around. Holding up the traffic pattern makes things chaotic.
Please remember there is NO PARKING in our fire lane on 37th Street or in the alley. If you are parking you will need to find street parking around the school and walk to the playground to pick up your child.
