SES, SIS, SMS and SHS is proud to announce our annual celebration to honor our veterans.
All veterans are cordially invited to participate in a drive through parade on each of the Sheridan school campuses. Begin at the SES Car Line.

Sheridan Special Election
Sheridan School District voters will decide in a special election on November 18 whether to extend the district’s current 36.0 millage rate for nine more years to fund several key facility projects—without increasing the tax rate. (The state mandates all districts have at least 25 mills; Sheridan has 11 additional mills set to expire in 2047 that would now be extended to 2056 if the proposal passes.) The district’s millage rate will remain at 36 mills regardless of the outcome of the election.
The extension would allow the district to use $11.5 million in state partnership funds to help build a new East End Elementary School, complete with a safe room shared with East End Middle School. Other proposed projects include a multi-use covered practice pavilion in Sheridan, safety and security upgrades across campuses (such as new cameras and signage), and districtwide renovations to bathrooms, flooring, and lighting.

In the Jr. High division, Josiah Zuniga took 1st place overall, with Marilyn Johnson right behind in second. Out of 75 participants--impressive!
In the 5th/6th grade division, Jaxon Tolson and Jeremiah Garland tied for 2nd place. The attendance was incredible--160 kids competing!
Our Yellowjackets worked hard at practice, and we're so proud of their dedication and success. They’re already looking forward to the Spring Tournament!

CKH Word of the Month ~ Teamwork
Teamwork: Better Together
This month, our Capturing Kids’ Hearts word of the month is Teamwork. Throughout life, students will be part of many teams—on the field, in the classroom, at home, and in their communities. At Sheridan Middle School, we believe that success happens when we all work together. Our staff, families, and students form one team, united in supporting every student’s growth, learning, and success.
We truly love our students and are proud of who they are becoming. Every day, we strive to create a caring environment where they feel seen, valued, and encouraged to do their best. Together, we celebrate their victories, support them through challenges, and remind them that they are never alone on their journey.
