On Tuesday, September 2nd we will run a Monday specials schedule. This does not affect morning activities - just specials during the day.
Upcoming Drills
On 9/9 we will have a shelter in place (tornado drill) at 9:15 a.m.
On 9/10 we will have a fire drill with the SCFD at 9:15 a.m.
STUDENT CLUBS!!!
Did you know that students who participate in clubs and extra curricular activities in school feel a bigger sense of belonging and connectedness? We currently offer a variety of musical clubs such as Orchestra, Band and Choir. We also currently have Precision Fitness Club, Student Council, Tiger Pals (4th and 5th grade) and Chess Club which will soon be offered. Info on those clubs will be coming in a few weeks. We also have some club opportunities that are offered during the day. One time per week on Fridays, students will meet at 8:50 a.m. (or when their bus drops them off) until 9:20 a.m. They will miss their Friday Classroom Morning Meeting while Friday clubs will take its place. Please see our CLUB DESCRIPTIONS for our club offerings. If you're interested in your child participating please complete the club application and turn in by Friday, September 6th. A paper copy with QR codes to link to a google form was sent home today as well to sign up with a google form. A child can only be in one Friday club as they run at the same time.

Community Resources
The Parent/Guardian Resource Form is now open for the 2025-26 school year. Families can complete this form to request support, such as Big Hearts of Fox Valley holiday programming or Thanksgiving meals. The form will close on September 12th.

Las familias pueden llenar este formulario para solicitar apoyo como los programas navideños de Big Hearts of Fox Valley o comidas para el Día de Acción de Gracias. If you have a change in transportation, such as your child regularly rides the bus, but you will be picking them up one day, please call the main office BY 10:00 a.m. at (331) 228-2800. We will take care of notifying the teacher.
Richmond Lockdown Drill
On September 16, Richmond Elementary will conduct our state-required annual Lockdown Drill with law enforcement personnel present. During this time, students will review and practice the classroom procedures. Parents/guardians may opt their child out of physical participation in this drill each year by emailing Lisa Simoncelli-Bulak at lisa.simoncelli-bulak@d303.org and Darlene Buffano at darlene.buffano@d303.org at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled date. Students who are opted out will receive an alternative school safety learning experience with a certified staff member.
