Warhawk Culture
At Westerville Central, we take great pride in the strong tradition of excellence established by those who came before us and carried forward by those here today. This past Friday, April 17, 2026, we had the privilege of recognizing four distinguished alumni whose accomplishments continue to inspire our school community.
Out of more than 10,000 alumni, only 21 individuals have received this honor. By adding these four 2026 honorees to our Alumni Hall of Fame, we are celebrating an elite group that truly embodies the Warhawk Blueprint:
Pursue Excellence
The belief that we are better together
A commitment to owning our actions, attitudes, and words to leave a lasting, positive impact.
Please join me in congratulating our newest Hall of Fame members:
Mr. Jerome Ray, Class of 2008
A former multi-sport athlete and National Honor Society member, Jerome has translated his WCHS foundation into a career of significant national impact. Currently a senior program manager for the Department of Defense, Jerome manages a $3.5 billion portfolio for the U.S. Air Force. Beyond his federal service, he is a dedicated entrepreneur and co-owner of Stride Right Solutions LLC, providing essential residential services for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities.
Dr. Miles Fisher, Class of 2011
Miles was a standout captain of our football team and a scholar-athlete who took his talents to the United States Air Force Academy. After earning his medical degree from The Ohio State University, he is now completing a spine surgery fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. This August, Miles will begin serving as an active-duty spine surgeon at the San Antonio Military Medical Center, continuing his commitment to service and medical excellence.
Mrs. Morgan (Lundquist) Shawver, Class of 2012
Morgan’s Warhawk pride has never wavered; after cheering for the Warhawks throughout high school, she returned to our district to teach at Huber Ridge and coach our JV cheer team. Today, she is a high-achieving realtor—recognized as a Coldwell Banker “Best of the Best” Agent—and a community leader who heads "Team Makenzie" for the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Marathon. She remains a fixture in our halls alongside her husband, Max, who teaches and coaches here at Central.
Mrs. Haley (Kindall) Case, Class of 2013
Haley’s journey from a WCHS district champion to a professional volleyball player in Germany is nothing short of remarkable. A three-time All-American and national champion at Wheeling University, she has seamlessly transitioned into elite coaching. As the head coach for the University of Indianapolis, she led her team to the Sweet 16 in her very first year. Across her playing and coaching career, Haley has been a part of five NCAA national quarterfinal appearances.
On behalf of our administrative team, staff, and students, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to these individuals. Their dedication and success provide a roadmap for our current students, helping them envision their own paths toward achieving their goals.
To our inductees: Thank you for upholding the tradition of excellence that defines Westerville Central. Thank you for representing yourselves, your families, and our Warhawk community with such integrity and distinction. Your induction into the Hall of Fame is not only a testament to your academic excellence but also to how you have used your talents to serve others. Your legacy will continue to inspire the next generation.
Wings Up,
Dawn Sayre
