Panther News - Weekly Update

Hello Panther Families!

Welcome to the week of October 19th! We have an action-packed week ahead at Shadow Ridge!

Our 7th grade students head out on their LLELA field trips on Monday and Tuesday, 8th graders take the PSAT 8/9 on Thursday, and we are cheering on our football and volleyball teams as they compete in playoff semi-finals and finals!

We are also excited to celebrate Flower Mound High School Homecoming week with the FMHS HOCO Carnival on Wednesday evening (5:30–7:00 PM) and FMHS Homecoming on Friday!

Report Cards & Safety Reminders: First Nine Weeks report cards are now available to view in Skyward Family Access. Please also take a moment to review our parking lot and drop-off safety guidelines below to help keep traffic moving safely each day.

Have a wonderful week, Panthers!

From all of us,

The safety of our Panthers is our top priority! Please keep the following arrival and dismissal procedures in mind:

• Use the Main Drop-Off/Pick-Up Lane: Please use the lane directly in front of the building. When using this lane, vehicles must pull all the way to the curb. Students are not permitted to enter or exit a vehicle from an active lane of traffic.

• Parking Lot Drop-Off/Pick-Up Requires a Marked Space: If you choose to drop off or pick up your student in the parking lot, you must pull completely into a marked parking space before your child enters or exits the vehicle.

Stopping in the middle of parking lot traffic lanes forces other vehicles to pass around you, creating a serious safety hazard for students exiting near moving cars.

Thank you for taking these extra moments to keep our parking lot and drop-off lanes safe for everyone!

Report cards for the 1st Nine Weeks are now posted and available to view in Skyward Family Access. Grades for this first grading period will appear under the 19T column.

How to Access Your Student's Report Card:

We encourage you to take a moment to review grades with your student to celebrate their successes and set goals for the 2nd Nine Weeks! Please reach out directly to your student's teachers if you have any questions.

Screenings will take place between October and December.

Routine vision and hearing screenings help detect problems early so your child can see and hear their best in school.

IF YOU WEAR GLASSES, BRING THEM!

This helps ensure the most accurate screening possible.
